ADAMAWA: Former Governor Fintiri Spent N22 billion In 86 Days
Adamawa Progressive Movement (APM) has called for the probe of N22
billion expenditure incurred by Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri, 86 day-old
administration.
It would be recalled that Fintiri, Speaker of Adamawa House of Assembly, assumed office as acting governor, following the impeachment of Murtala Nyako in July 2014.
Fintiri was later removed by a Federal High Court. The convener of the group, Mr Sunday Wugira, made the call at a press conference in Yola.
Wugira said that the probe became necessary as some of the projects allegedly executed by the Fintiri administration were sited in areas controlled by insurgents.
He said the Fintiri administration sited projects in some villages of Madagali and Michika Local Government Areas, which were no go areas.
“There is also contract for the Faculty of Law in Adamawa State University Mubi that needs to be verified,” Wugira said.
