Two robbery suspects, who allegedly specialized in robbing using
motor-cycles were yesterday set ablaze in Onitsha by irate mob as they
attempted to carry out their "business".
The suspects met their Waterloo as they attempted to snatch money from a
trader who was said to have come from the Northern part of country to
buy goods at the Nkpor New Tyre market.
The suspects were said to have shot three times at the trader when he resisted giving them the money he was carrying, as ordered. Onlookers said, the bullets however did not penetrate which prompted them to wanting to run away.

The trader however stabbed one of them and oncoming vehicle hit them as
they attempted to flea on their bike. Apparently angry onlookers
watching the event immediately mobilized, arrested the two robbers and
set them ablaze. The Ogidi Divisional Police Officer, (DPO), Mr. Hassan
Musa, confirmed the incident adding that investigation into the matter
is still on.
