Outrage As Woman Goes Topless With Painted Breasts, Brings Daughter To Walk In Same Outfit (Photos)

A street performer has sparked outrage by posing topless with painted breasts - with her little daughter dressed exactly the same way.

Maria Diaz was spotted wearing a frilly black skirt with only a drawing of a black heart protecting her modesty.

With her was her two-year-old daughter, also wearing a black frilly skirt and with her own black heart on her chest. Video of the pair, who were also holding the letters “N” and “Y”, was shot by a man dressed as “Batman,” who was appalled by the display.

“Nobody wanted to take any pictures [with them],” José Escalona-Martinez told the New York Post.

Police stopped Diaz by ordering her to dress the child. “She wasn’t there for too long because the police said, ‘You can’t have this girl here. You going to get arrested,’ ” one visitor said.
The mother quickly put a pink T-shirt on the child and left a short time later without receiving any tips, witnesses said.
Painted ladies also known as desnudas, which is Spanish for naked lady, have been a common though rather racy site in the American city this summer, as they pose for pictures in exchange for tips.

Two were assaulted and another was arrested for allegedly offering to perform oral sex on an undercover police officer.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is mulling over plans to remove them from the area completely.

He said:
"As a human being and a parent, I don’t think it’s appropriate, in the middle of one of the busiest squares in New York City, that women should display themselves that way."
