Chai! Factory worker remanded in court for stealing 93 tins of milk

29-year old factory worker, Peter Itobor, has been dragged before an
Iyaganku Senior Magistrates’ court sitting at Ibadan on Wednesday for
alleged stealing 93 tins of milk from a factory at Ibadan.
Itobor was arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The Police Prosecutor, Cpl. Oluseye Oyebanji, told the court that
Itobor and one other, now at large, conspired to commit the offences.
Oyebanji
said Itobor allegedly stole 93 tins of Luna evaporated milk from the
factory valued at N10, 000 property of Oriental Food Industry Limited.
The offence was said to have been committed on Dec. 6, at about 7:00
p.m. at Oriental Food Industry Limited, km 14,Ibadan/Lagos Expressway,
Ibadan.
Oyebanji said the offence contravened Sections 390 (9)and 516 of the Criminal Code, Cap. 38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge.
The Senior Magistrate, Mrs Munirat Giwa-Babalola, admitted the
accused to bail in the sum of N50, 000.00, with one surety in like sum.
She, thereafter, adjourned the case till Feb. 4, 2016 for hearing.
