Coach Oliseh Lied, He Didn't Spend His Own $4,000 To Feed Super Eagles Players - NFF
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has
denied reports that coach Sunday Oliseh spent $4,000 of his personal
money, to feed Super Eagles players, during their training
in Pretoria, South Africa.
In a related development, the Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh was
also issued a query to explain why the team crashed out at the group
stage of the African Nations Championship.
He was asked to explain the
damning comments he made to the press after the defeat to Guinea
Oliseh had ealier claimed in an interview that lack of motivation was behind their poor performance at the tournament.
But General Secretary of NFF, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed, in his reaction
said: “It is not true that Oliseh spent his hard earned $4,000 to feed
the team in their Pretoria camp before CHAN. We are not aware of that.
“We paid for their camping at the South African High Performance
training centre in Pretoria and this also covered lodging and feeding
for the two weeks the team spent there. We had no report from the centre
of not feeding them properly, so how did he spend his money to feed the
team?”
