Speaker Yakubu Dogara calls for evidence against lawmakers accused of sexual misconduct in the US

 
 
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has berated the US government on allegation of sexual misconduct leveled against three Nigerian lawmakers in the US.

The accused lawmakers are Samuel Ikon (PDP, Akwa Ibom), Mohammed Gololo (APC, Bauchi) and Mark Gbillah (APC, Benue), and this came up while they were on an official assignment in Cleveland, USA in April this year. The Honourable Speaker argued that until there's a substantive evidence to prove that they are guilty and also tried in court, the accused lawmakers are still innocent. Read his tweets below
