Burkina Faso Picks German Coach as Keshi Waits on Eagles Job
Despite boasting of having the quality to qualify Burkina Faso for the
2018 FIFA World Cup, it can be reported that out-of-contract former
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi is after all not considered good enough
for the Burkinabes’ job as the FA on Wednesday named German trainer
Gernot Rohr as their new national football team manager.
He replaces Belgian Paul Put, who parted ways with ‘Les Etalons’
after the Orange Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea where the
Burkinabes lost to finalists.
A statement by the Burkinafaso Football Federation (FBF) released on
Tuesday (24 February 2015) night said the federation has settled on the
61-year old as the best option.
