RIVERS STATE PDP
GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY ELECTION.
Today, Monday 8th December, 2014, the People’s
Democratic Party, PDP in Rivers state held its governorship primary election in
Port-Harcourt, of which five aspirants jostled for the number 1 position in the
state.

A total of 1,108 votes were cast during the process and a
landslide victory was recorded as the state party chairman, Mr Felix Obuah
announced Nyesom Wike, the former minister of state for education as the winner
of the election.
Nyesom Wike polled a total of 1,083 votes while the
remaining 25 votes were unevenly shared among the other four aspirants. He is
poised to delivering the state from the shackles of the All Progressives
Congress, APC, in the 2015 general elections.
