$2 billion arms scandal made me leave PDP - Isa Yuguda

$2 billion arms scandal made me leave PDP - Isa Yuguda

Political harlotry...Imagine! The immediate past Governor of Bauch State, Isa Yuguda, on Saturday, April 23 said his decision to leave PDP was informed by the $2.1bn arms scandal.
"I wish to tender my resignation as a member of the PDP effective from today, Saturday, 23rd April, 2016. My decision was informed by the shocking revelations on the embezzlement of $2.1bn meant for the procurement of arms to fight insurgency and reduce the sufferings of the victims of the insurgency,"  the statement reads.
"This dastardly act by the leadership and members of the government of the PDP has left a moral burden on all the members of the PDP. With $500m, the lives of the over two million deprived Internally Displaced Persons would have been better today
.
"I was a governor from the zone who received no material or financial support from the then Federal Government, and was also a witness to the wasting of human lives and properties because of the non-availability of fighting equipment and relief materials.
.
"The realisation that the funds were embezzled which led to the death of thousands of women, children, young men and unarmed members of the Nigerian security forces have made it impossible for me to continue my membership of the party.

"He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. Rationality, morality and common sense suggest that the PDP chairman should have cleared his name before aspiring to that position. In an ideal country, an allegation against a public officer compels him to resign his appointment.

"In view of the foregoing reasons and my hard-earned reputation and other track records, I cannot be part of the characters that formed the present PDP leadership, as such, I do resign my membership of the party.

Nice one, Mr Yuguda. Hope you're not seeking relevance in the incumbent Party?

This is an article written by 'Demola 'Rewaju:

I want to publicly commend the incumbent President and also his predecessor - the former for releasing 10,000 tonnes of grains to combat rising food prices and the latter for storing those grains for his clueless successor. It takes courage for the incumbent President to admit that food commodity prices are skyrocketing on his watch but more courage is needed to admit that his policy on rice importation without doing anything to encourage local production is wrong. Presently, rice imports for Nigerian consumption come in through other countries and are smuggled into Nigeria to be sold at exorbitant prices. The last time the grain reserves were released was in 2012 during the flood crisis. Today, two things are responsible: systematic ban on rice imports and the attacks of Fulani Herdsmen on the Middle-Belt which is the food-basket of the nation.
This Govt is benefitting from Jonathan's cluelessness and therefore redefining Cluelessness by showing us the real Cluelessness. The house that wisdom built is usually looted by foolishness.

Non-Fulani lives don't matter to Buhari - Femi Fani-Kayode

The number of Igbos slaughtered by Fulani militants in Enugu this afternoon has gone up to 100.
Many churches and homes have been burnt to the ground.

When will President Buhari appreciate the fact that NON-FULANI LIVES MATTER?
In reaction to this horrific situation, Mr. Babatunde O. Gbadamosi, a highly respected Lagos-based businessman, wrote the following:

"Scores slaughtered by ‪#‎FulaniTerrorists‬ in Enugu, but the Fulani President, Muhammadu Buhari, his Fulani senior security commanders and government functionaries are more interested in pipeline vandals that are killing no one!

Nigerians, if you don't arm yourselves and fight back, na una sabi.
Those of you Yoruba APC zombies that think you are special, when they finish with the MiddleBelt, the South-South and the South East, you will be next, and there will be no one left to defend you.
I am referring to you, my Muslim uncles and aunties, who think the Fulanis will see you as kindred spirits and spare you. They will not.

Just as they are fake Muslims in the eyes of the Arabs, you are also fake Muslims in their eyes, only useful to help subjugate your people under their rule, then you will see pepper.
Kill Afonjaism now, and stand for something, or your children will one day curse the day you were born".

Prince’s only sister might inherit his wealth estimated to $800 million

Prince’s only sister might inherit his wealth  estimated to $800 million

Prince's only sister,Tyka Nelson, who is 55 years old is likely to inherit the  vast fortune he amassed over the course of his music career.

Tyka Nelson stands to be awarded Prince's estate under Minnesota state law as his closest living relative.
Minnesota law states that if an unmarried person who doesn't have kids dies without a will, the parents, grandparents, and siblings of that person stand to inherit their wealth, though that can be contested in court under certain circumstances.

Prince's parents, John L. Nelson and Mattie Shaw, are both dead and Tyka is his only sibling.
However, after Prince's parents divorced, they both remarried and had kids. His father John had three daughters and two sons from his marriage to Vivian Nelson while his mum remarried and gave birth to two sons. So he has seven half siblings but his parents are dead.

His sister Tyka Nelson had a strained relationship with her brother over the years when she  was struggling with an addiction to crack cocaine and prostituting herself to support her two young sons, Sir Montece Laeil Nelson and President LenNard Laeil Nelson. However, in recent years after he became religious and became a Jehovah witness, he became close to his sister.

Prince has an approximate net worth of $300million, which does not include the millions his estate is set to make in the coming weeks from the increased sale of merchandise and music or the money the singer received when he signed a deal agreeing to stream all his music on Tidal.

His music catalog meanwhile is worth over $500million according to Prince's first manager Owen Husney, because unlike other artists he owned both his master recordings as well as his own music publishing.
Prince also has a large collection of unreleased music, which Husney believes may include an album he made with jazz great Miles Davis

When Prince 37, he married his 22-year-old backup singer and dancer and now reality star on Hollywood exes Mayte Garcia on February 14th 1996. They had a son named Boy Gregory on October 16, 1996, who was born with Pfeiffer syndrome but he died a week later. Prince and Mayte divorced in 1999 but she is still in love with him till date.

Why we dropped Siasia, Amuneke from Eagles job –NFF

Siasia

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has explained why the duo of coaches Samson Siasia and Emmanuel Amuneke were not considered for the job of handling the Super Eagles for the two major international friendlies billed for May and June this year.

Rising from her meeting held at the NFF secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, the committee explained that the decision to leave out Siasia and Amuneke from the Eagles job was to enable the two coaches concentrate fully on their pending important assignments of taking the Dream team VI and the Flying Eagles to the Rio 2016 Olympics and the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations tournaments respectively.

The committee strongly solicited for the NFF Board to give Coach Samson Siasia all the support towards winning gold medal of the men’s football tournament of this year’s Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil.

The Committee praised Amuneke for promoting most of the FIFA U- 17 World Cup winning players to the Flying Eagles team , noting with delight that his action was in tandem with the vision of the present NFF administration ‘s promotion of  growth, continuity and seamless transition of the age grade players to the senior teams.

It mandated the big wigs of the Abuja Glass house to support the world cup winning coach  as the national U- 20 team prepares for the race for the Zambia 2017 tournament.

Chad’s President Idriss Deby has won a fifth term in office after winning 62% of the vote in elections earlier this month, official results show.
He has avoided a second-round vote, with his nearest rival, Saleh Kebzabo, taking 13% of votes cast.
On Tuesday, opposition parties said the vote counting lacked credibility.
Mr Deby, who took power in a coup 26 years ago, is seen by Western governments as a bulwark against Islamist militants in central Africa.
The headquarters of the regional multi-national force fighting Boko Haram insurgents is based in Chad.

Mr Deby’s supporters celebrated by firing guns into the air in the central square in the capital, N’Djamena.
Ahead of the announcement of the results late on Thursday, there was a strong military presence in the city, the AFP news agency reports.
During the 10 April election, there was an online blackout as access to the internet was cut and mobile phones were unable to send text messages.
Twelve candidates ran against Mr Deby and turnout among the more than six million registered voters was 71%, the electoral commission said.
Opposition politicians allege that hundreds of ballot boxes disappeared during the counting process.
Mr Deby has denied opposition claims that about 60 soldiers who voted against him have disappeared, the Associated Press news agency reports.
In the run-up to the vote, protest marches were banned and four activists campaigning against the president were given suspended sentences.
