Amuneke demands €5.3m for Nwakali, Chukwueze
Coach Emmanuel Amuneke
Golden Eaglets coach, Emmanuel Amuneke could strike it rich if Nigeria Under 17 internationals, Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze, are sold to a European club in the near future, as he has demanded a cumulative transfer fee of 5.3 million euros for both players.

It was gathered that Kelechi Nwakali’s economic and sporting rights are owned by Diamond Academy, Umuahia and ASJ Academy Owerri in the ratio 70:30 but both teams are only acting as proxies on Amuneke’s behalf.

If the corporate veil of Diamond Academy is pierced, a certain Tony Adele, who works hand in hand with Amuneke, runs the grassroots club in partnership with Frankie Stephen, better known as the United Kingdom-based intermediary of Flying Eagles winger, Bernard Bulbwa.

As for ASJ Academy, the club is owned by Amuneke’s family and the former Barcelona midfielder is represented there by Emeka. They own 30 percent of the sporting rights of Kelechi Nwakali.
The ex Zamalek star only wants to divert attention following the dispute in the sale of Chidiebere Nwakali and Bernard Bulbwa to Manchester City and Esperance respectively.

The Nigeria Under 17s manager has told teams interested in Nwakali to cough up 3.5 million euros to sign the player while he will not accept an offer less than 1.8 million euros for Samuel Chukwueze and the agency commission he is expected to receive for the sale of both players is 700,000 euros.

Amuneke has demanded that the European clubs that finally snap up the players must sign a partnership agreement with his Academy, stipulating that two players from his academy must go on trial with the buying club every year, accompanied by the coach.

Kogi Election: APC Group Endorses Late Abubakar Audu’s Son

kogi

The All Progressives Congress (APC) critical stakeholders and delegates from Kogi East Senatorial District have resolved that the late political icon and APC candidate in the November 22 governorship election that was pronounced to be inconclusive, Mr Abubakar Audu, be substituted with his son Mohammed Audu in the event that the party goes for fresh primary.

This was contained in a communique read by Daniel Isah, the Kogi East Zonal Chairman at the party secretariat in Lokoja, Kogi State.

The decision by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to declare Kogi State governorship election inconclusive has continued to generate controversies within the party.
Supporters and members of the party have appeared divided on who should replace Abubakar Audu as the party’s governorship candidate.

Getting a candidate to fill the vacant seat was one of the major reasons the delegates from the eastern senatorial district held the closed door meeting which lasted for one hour.

While the closed door meeting was going on, some youths under the auspices of Kogi APC Concerned Youths took to the streets with placards, demanding that the son of the late Abubakar Audu should be the substitute governorship candidate.

They claimed the son has been working closely with his father and understands his plans.

The All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government, yesterday, said the payment of the N5,000 stipend to the unemployed Nigerian youths will commence next year.
It regretted that the payment could not take off immediately because it was not included in this year’s budget
Minister of Youths and Sports, Mr Solomon Dalong, revealed this yesterday in Abuja when he paid a condolence visit to the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, at the national secretariat in Abuja on the demise of Prince Abubakar Audu, the late governorship candidate of the party in Kogi State election.
Dalong, who spoke with journalists, assured that APC government would also create more jobs to fulfill its campaign promises.
The party, during the electioneering campaigns, had pledged to pay N5000 stipend to unemployed youths monthly.
Said he: “I would want the youths to understand that every promise must be backed up by budgetary provision and our promise to pay N5000 is not contained in the 2015 budget. So, definitely, it is going to begin in 2016 as we have made budgetary allocations for that.
“We are committed to the campaign promises of creating jobs, providing wealth creation and combat poverty. We have embedded in our manifesto things that we are translating to reality.
“We are busy reviewing some of the youth empowerment programmes that are ongoing,  to ensure that they are more viable and people oriented. We are also looking at the possibility of realigning some of them to our vision so that in the final analysis, it can add value to the people”.
The minister also said that he would soon convene a stakeholders meeting to help re-orientate the Nigerian youths. In his remarks earlier, the National Chairman of APC, Chief Oyegun, expressed optimism in the performance of Dalong as Youths and Sports minister.

The lawmaker said that under Nigerian Constitution, he was duly elected as deputy governor of Kogi State, hence no new candidate can inherit or be a beneficiary of the votes already cast, counted and declared by INEC and no new or supplementary candidate can hijack, aggregate, appropriate or inherit the said votes.

Although, INEC had already declared the election as inconclusive. If his request is granted him, then, he'll be the very first minority to become governor of the state.

President Buhari visits Lagos Nov. 27 for the commissioning of 3 helicopters purchased by LASG

President Buhari will on Friday November 27, 2015 visit Lagos state for the formal commissioning of three helicopters, patrol vehicles, power bikes and other security gadgets acquired by Governor Ambode-led administration to beef up security in the state through the Rapid Response Squad.

In a press release issued by the State's Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, President Buhari will be the special guest of honour at the ceremony which will hold at the Lagos House, Alausa in Ikeja.

The statement went further to state that Buhari's visit would further witness the rebranding of the RRS as the state’s no-nonsense police response squad against crime and criminality. Buhari will also join Governor Ambode in handing over the brand new patrol equipment to the Police authorities in the state. The equipment to be handed over include: three helicopters, two patrol boats, 100 motorcycles, 13 BM power bikes, 60 Ford salon cars, 55 Ford Rangers, 40 Toyota salon cars, 10 Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs, 31 Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) as well as police uniforms and other kits.

"With these security equipment, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has demonstrated his firm commitment and ability to safeguard the lives and property of every Lagosian. The government is convinced this gesture will further boost the morale and capacity of the Police, RRS and other security agencies in the state. It is an attestation to the efficacy of the state’s Security Trust Fund and we believe that this will send a clear signal that criminals and armed robbers no longer have hiding place in the state as government will spare no effort in ridding the state of every form of criminality," he said.

The statement added that the deployment of the security gadgets would further complement the efforts of the State Government in making the state a mega city that is working for all and sundry. "It is noteworthy that the Lagos State Government has stepped up its enforcement of traffic laws and declared zero tolerance on potholes on the roads, a decision that has brought to 282 the number of roads so far rehabilitated in the past five months while another set of 189 roads has been marked for repairs before the end of the year,"

Russia exacts her revenge on Turkey for downing a Russian warplane

Vladimir Putin stands with a gun at a shooting gallery of the new GRU military intelligence headquarters building as he visits it in Moscow, November 8, 2006.
Just over 24 hours after Turkey shot down a Russian warplane after claiming the jet had violated Turkish airspace, Moscow is already exacting its revenge — albeit subtly.

"We're not going to wage a war against Turkey. ... But we will seriously reconsider our agreements with the Turkish government," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a press call on Wednesday, according to The AP.

"Our attitude to the Turkish people hasn't changed," Lavrov continued. "We only have questions about the Turkish leadership."

Turkey defended its decision to down the plane on Tuesday, contending that the plane was in Turkish airspace and had been warned repeatedly before it was shot down by Turkish F-16 jets. But Russian President Vladimir Putin said the plane was destroyed by a Turkish missile while flying in Syrian airspace, roughly a mile from the Turkish border.

By Wednesday morning, Russia had begun bombarding rebels — including Turkmen insurgents, who have ethnic ties to Turkey — in Syria's Latakia province, ignoring demands made by Turkey over the past week to end its military operations close to the Turkish border.

Russia also announced Wednesday that it would deploy state-of-the-art S-400 missile systems to the Russian Hemeimeem air base near Latakia, Syria — 30 miles south of the Turkish border, the AP reported. The missiles, which are able to hit a plane with extreme accuracy, are evidently meant to deter Turkish jets from shooting down Russian planes in the future.

Additionally, Russia issued an official travel warning advising its citizens against visiting Turkey. And Russian travel agencies announced on Wednesday that they will withdraw their business in Turkey until next year, according to a translation by Boris Zilberman, a Russia expert at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank.

Russian tourists account for a huge portion of Turkey's tourism industry — 3.3 million Russian tourists visited Turkey in 2014, the second-largest number of tourist arrivals after Germany and around 12% of total visitors, according to Reuters.

And in a largely symbolic gesture on Wednesday, the Russian parliament proposed a five-year jail term for anyone who denies that the mass killings of Armenians that began under Ottoman rule in 1915 constituted a "genocide," according to an article translated by Foreign Policy columnist and Russia commentator Julia Ioffe.

Use of the word remains a charged issue in Turkey, which staunchly objects to such a characterization. Eastern Armenia remained part of the Russian Empire until its collapse in 1917.
And there is one other way that Russia could retaliate against Turkey more directly: Namely, by drawing attention to the NATO ally's suspected ties to the Islamic State in Syria.

As The Soufan Group noted on Wednesday in its daily briefing, Russia "is likely to use intelligence and disinformation to highlight Turkey’s dealings with the Islamic State."

Western officials have long harbored suspicions about Turkey's links to the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, ISIL, or Daesh. One official told The Guardian's Martin Chulov in July that a US-led raid on the compound housing ISIS' "chief financial officer" produced "undeniable" evidence that Turkish officials directly dealt with ranking ISIS members — namely, by purchasing oil from them.

For his part, Biden charged that countries like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates were so focused on ousting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad that they did not properly vet the opposition groups to which they sent money and weapons. (He later apologized.)

Turkey joined the US-led anti-ISIS coalition in late July, after a suicide bomber with links to the terrorist group killed 32 activists in the southeastern border town of Suruc. Still, lingering suspicions remained about Turkey's commitment to fighting ISIS, as it embarked on a dual campaign to wipe out a Kurdish insurgency in its southeast.

Those suspicions were all but put to rest last month when an ISIS-linked suicide bomber killed more than 150 people at a peace rally in Ankara — the deadliest terror attack in Turkey's recent history.

But one day after Turkey downed its warplane, Russia has already begun to bring Turkey's murky history with the group back into focus in order to discredit Ankara's role in the anti-ISIS coalition — and legitimize its own.

"Turkey has demonstrated that it is protecting ISIS," Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Wednesday on Twitter, adding that the damage from "Turkey's criminal actions ... will be hard to repair."
Medvedev was seemingly echoing a statement made by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, when he referred to Turkey as "accomplices of terrorists."

"We established a long time ago that large quantities of oil and oil products from territory captured by the Islamic State have been arriving on Turkish territory," Putin said from the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi before a meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah.

5 Mistakes Women Make When Dealing With Cheating Husbands

Women being emotional tend to over react when issues like this arise, most lack the patience to think things through and come up with the best decision. Without trying to put blame on women who have gone to the extreme in handling cheating husbands, a lot of assessment should be made on the best way to handle sensitive issues like that.

When men cheat, the entire blame shouldn’t be placed on them. Women are quick to conclude about the men being at fault, thereby throwing all the arrows in their direction. It’s totally normal for people to react in different ways; finding out that your partner, in whom you have placed your trust, is seeing someone else and doing things you used to do together could be shattering. However, it should be put in mind that whatever decision or step one takes at that time would determine the future of such relationships.

1. Not Being Prepared
Sometimes, there may be nothing you can do about a man cheating. Men cheat for all sorts of reasons and no matter how hard the women try, the men simply can’t help pulling down their pants. Some women are too trusting; believing it’s impossible for their husbands to cheat. These men are only human and could be subjected to different forms of temptations. While a woman may see her husband as being faithful and incapable of cheating, remember there are some wild ladies out there who would do anything to prove to him they could have a win-win relationship where they both get satisfied with no strings attached.

2. Investigating Every Move
Lots of women make the mistake of probing and taking the role of a detective when they sense their husbands are cheating. Not only do they make enquiries about things they hear, they also go on to look for physical proofs they can hold on to. Monitoring text messages, phone calls and social platforms of the man would only cause more problems and make him want to go ahead with the affair to spite the women. Avoid accusing your partner without being sure of the facts gathered. In essence, there’s the chance your findings would make you sad. Avoid robbing yourself of your happiness.

3. Blaming The Other Woman
Most women are quick to lay blames; the other woman is the devil in most situations when women discover their husbands are cheating. Many aggrieved women have taken drastic measures in dealing with ladies having affairs with their husbands. Women, without being aggressive in confronting their husbands should talk to them about it and talk about their marital vows and the things it permits and excludes.

4. Don’t Push Yourself Beyond Your Limit
When women discover their husbands are cheating, they make immense effort to change. These women try hard to measure up to the standards of the side chic their husbands are seeing. It’s normal for a woman to want to grow and improve herself; but in cases when the husband is presumed to be cheating, whatever one does as a woman should be solely for personal development. In a bid to change, a woman shouldn’t give up her own dreams. Changing may not keep the man and the woman could lose herself in the process.

5. Don’t Make Excuses For Him
Some women are kind hearted; they tend to forgive their partners when being cheated on. Many convince themselves it would never happen again. Before doing this, it may be wise to allow the man prove how much he wants that marriage to work and how sorry he truly is about cheating. Believing he would change when he becomes a father is a faulty way of thinking. Being a husband is quite different from being a father.
