Schoolgirl Asks Mum To Write PE Excuse Letter For Her - here is what she wrote

A schoolgirl asked her mum to write a letter excusing her from PE - but she didn't expect this.Olivia hates outdoor activities lessons but teachers only allow pupils to skip class if they have a note.

So she went about it by asking her mum to pen a letter - falsely claiming she had a valid medical excuse to skip PE, but the mum wrote to her teacher,that she was 'perfectly fit' to take part.
And she also said the only medical complaint she had was a severe case of 'bone-idle-itus'.

Sam even went one further and also suggested that a few extra laps would help Olivia to warm up before her lesson.

Press statement by the APC National Publicity Secretary Alhaji Lai Mohammed:

“The All Progressives Congress (APC) has uncovered yet another in the series of devilish plots being hatched against the leadership of the party, this time involving a huge amount of money (in US dollars) which are being ferried into Nigeria by some people who will then claim they were hired as cash couriers by APC leaders.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the funds are to be ferried into the country through the Seme or Idi-Iroko, or any other border posts, anytime from now.

It said those who orchestrated the importation of the raw cash from a West African nation have also tipped off the security agents at the border posts to watch out for those who are bringing in a colossal amount in US dollars.

''Their plan is that once the couriers - who have been coached on their assignment - are arrested by Nigerian security agents, they will point accusing fingers at some top APC leaders who supposedly commissioned them to bring in the money to be used for the forthcoming elections.

''The plotters of the evil plan will then order the arrest of the leaders, with a view to damaging their credibility and destabilizing them ahead of the elections,'' APC said.

The party said as many evil plots as are being hatched by desperadoes who are bent on setting the country ablaze just to realize their naked ambition will be exposed, because Nigerians themselves, within and outside the government, have decided to be extra vigilant.

''Let's be clear: Our leaders, who have been the targets of unprecedented mudslinging as well as physical and psychological threats will not be intimidated into abandoning their epic struggle to save our country from a rapacious administration.

''Therefore, let those who have been unrelenting in threatening them and also painting them black, using every means imaginable, desist, because their game is up. The people of Nigeria have repudiated their primitive tactics,'' it said.

APC said those who will, in their usual manner, rush to deny this plot must remember that despite their denials in the past, all the alarms raised by the party have either come to pass or have been checkmated by their exposure.

''Let us remind them that we raised the alarm over their plan to postpone the elections and it came to pass. We raised the alarm over their opposition to the use of card readers and now all Nigerians can see. We raised the alarm that the OPC will demonstrate against Jega in Lagos and it was accurate to the day. We will continue to expose the plotters of evil,'' the party said.”

''Don’t Be Afraid Of Jail''- Aisha Buhari Tells Patience Jonathan

Hajia Aishat Buhari, wife of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari, has advised Dame Patience Jonathan, that she needs not fear jail, should her husband be voted President come 28 March, as Nigerians only want a change in the way the country is being governed now.

Patience Jonathan, has been campaigning that General Buhari will jail his political opponents if elected President in the March 28 election.

Mrs. Buhari who spoke on Thursday at a mega rally in Benin, where she interacted with women in Edo State, described PDP’s attempt to paint her husband black with the tar of religion a desperate attempt to hoodwink the people, saying only those who want to loot the treasury campaign with religion which is at variance with politics.

“Each zone of the country has its peculiar problems. For me in this zone, girl-child trafficking should be considered one of our problems, though I know there is unemployment. Unemployment is the major factor that contributes to brain drain and also the girl-child trafficking. General Muhammadu Buhari is a leader who led Nigeria some decades ago and he is coming back now to sanitise the system.

“For those that are campaigning, saying that he is coming to jail Nigerians, I don’t know what their fear is. But they shouldn’t be afraid, because we are all yearning for change. The insecurity in the country, the very poor healthcare system, lack of education and other basic necessities that people are lacking I believe Nigerians need somebody like General Muhammadu Buhari now.

“Already, they have painted him black, using religion. I’m happy today that Nigerians realise that they use religion as a cover to loot Nigeria. Any politician who talks to you about religion is a liar, he only wants to loot the treasury and the little resources you ought to enjoy. So say no to politics merging it with religion to deceive the people.

“I’m here today to let Edo women know that when my husband is elected into office as President, all these will be history. The insecurity, the girl-child trafficking, suffering of the widows in the South East will come to an end. There must be a cultural design that can accommodate the widow. A design that would make the girl-child comfortable wherever she is in this country. She doesn’t have to leave her country to go and prostitute elsewhere, it’s not her portion. Her portion is to have a highly standard and moral society for her to live in. Get married, have children, train them and also mould them to become the future leaders.

“We are here today to also let you know that the collection of your PVCs is important and don’t ever sell it. It’s like selling your future. If you sell it for N5,000, you won’t see N5,000 again until after four years which will be bad. Get your PVC, vote for APC, vote for freedom, vote for a new Nigeria with good security, good education, good healthcare, good roads and all the basic necessities,” she said.

Also addressing the women, Governor Adams Oshiomhole urged them to vote for the APC since the PDP has failed in 16 years to deliver on electricity and other basic infrastructure, adding that PDP government fleeces even the poor through kerosene sale.

“In sixteen years, PDP did not provide light, we provide the transformers to the communities but the PDP Federal Government cannot power the lights. They collect fixed charges from the people when there is no fixed light.

“They say ther’s power reforms, however instead of reform, they deform. They advertised to employ people into the Nigeria Immigration Service and use private company to charge the applicant N1,000 each. The private company collected over N800 million from poor youths and took them to the stadium to conduct an interview, at the end people died. Instead of the Minister in charge to be reprimanded, he was given national honours.

“You need to understand the issues. Our call for change and for people to vote for the APC and vote out the PDP is because the PDP has completely failed and deceived the people for 16 years. So they must go home,” Oshiomhole said, adding that “the people must vote for APC to return Nigeria from darkness to light, from unemployment to employment and from insecurity to security.”

He flayed some religious leaders who want to polarise the country along religious lines, saying the problems facing the country affect both Christians and Moslems so Nigerians should ignore the attempt to hoodwink them and preach hatred using the religion card.

Earlier in her welcome address, wife of the state Deputy Governor, Deaconess Endurance Odubu, said Nigerians have made up their minds to vote massively for the All Progressives Congress.

She noted the achievements of Governor Adams Oshiomhole in Edo State and said when voted into power, General Muhammadu Buhari will replicate it at the national level.

Mrs. Odubu assured Hajia Aishat Buhari that Edo women will vote massively for the APC.

According to Dailymail, A cheating husband nearly had his penis bitten off by his wife’s younger friend when he allegedly tried to persuade her to have sex with him.

Theman, Florin Ionita, 53, had been at a picnic at a park in Chisinau, with his spouse and a group of friends before she took some of them home, leaving him alone with the 24-year-old woman.

But when wife Maria Ionita, 49, returned to collect him 30 minutes later, she claimed to have found him clutching his genitals and moaning in pain, telling her:

‘Call an ambulance, it is going to fall off.’

Mrs Ionita said:

‘I was at a picnic with my husband and some friends and I left to take some of them home in our car, leaving him behind with one friend.

‘When I came back I saw him with his trousers around his ankles clutching his private parts and saying “Call an ambulance, it is going to fall off”.’

After demanding to know what had happened, Mrs Ionita was allegedly told that her husband had tried to force himself on her friend, but she had bitten his penis after he pulled down his trousers.
Mrs Ionita added:

‘I have forgiven him as he was only trying to do what all men try to do - but when I called theambulance I didn't do it too fast, and I told them not to hurry.’

She also claimed to have given the ambulance drivers unclear directions to the area of the park in which her husband was waiting in agony.

Mr Ionita told his wife after the incident;

‘I just wanted to pass the time pleasantly.’

A Chisinau Police spokesman said the woman told officers that Mr Ionita had tried to force himself on her - and biting him appeared to be the only way to make him lose interest in her.

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign co-ordinators drawn from the 236 wards across Ogun State, western Nigeria, on Wednesday beat up the South W est Zonal Secretary of the party, Chief Pegba Otemolu, for refusing to share the money allegedly given to them by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Some of the state campaign coordinators went berserk following the failure of Alhaji Fatai Adeyanju, the National Auditor of the party and Chief Pegba Otemolu to release the fund allegedly meant for the state co-ordinators engaged for President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election.

A5-hour meeting held at a hotel on Quarry Road in Abeokuta, the state capital, to sensitise all the 708 Co-ordinators drawn from the 236 wards across the state, ended in a shouting match which resulted in the attack on the national officers of the party.

Sources at the meeting told P.M.NEWS that trouble started when the National Auditor of the party, during the course of the meeting, told the coordinators that the fund meant for them was not available at the meeting.

One of the co-ordinators, who pleaded anonymity, told our correspondent that Adeyanju informed them that the money had not been deposited in the designated account, when they knew he was lying.

The co-ordinators consequently held the two party leaders hostage and insisted that they would not allow them to go until they release the fund meant for them.

The two party leaders were held hostage for hours after which some political thugs escorted Otemolu out of the hall and he quickly entered his waiting Honda Pilot SUV.

But an attempt by the driver to whisk away his boss resulted in an accident which left one of the co-ordinators from Sagamu seriously injured.
The injured man is currently being treated in an undisclosed hospital in Abeokuta.

The incident sparked off anger as the other aggrieved co-ordinators pounced on Otemolu and bundled him out of his car which had hit the median and hit another parked car on the other side of the road.
Adeyanju took to his heels when he saw Otemolu being roughened up along with other leaders by the aggrieved co-ordinators and other party members.

When our correspondent contacted the State Secretary of the party, Chief Semiu Sodipo, he declared that nothing like that happened, but declined to speak further.

The seven months' pregnant woman had her unborn baby cut out of her womb by a mother-of-two after she went to her home.

Dynel Catrece Lane, 34, allegedly stabbed the 26-year-old in the stomach and pulled out the baby, killing the fetus in the process.

Police rushed to the scene after reports of a stabbing attack in Longmont, Colorado at 2.30pm on Wednesday and could hear the victim calling for help inside the home.
The victim was taken to Longmont United Hospital where she underwent surgery and is expected to recover.The baby did not survive the attack.

Longmont police Cmdr Jeff Satur told Daily Mail Online that the female suspect was taken to hospital by her husband.
Lane was reportedly carrying the victim's dead baby and telling hospital staff that she had suffered a miscarriage.
ABC7 reported that the husband believed his wife had suffered a miscarriage. Police would not comment on whether the suspect had recently been pregnant.

Public records revealed that Lane is a certified nurse aide. KDVR reported on Wednesday that a baby registry was set up in Lane's name last year and listed her due date as November 14, 2014.

After speaking to the victim, police were able to arrest Lane at the hospital at 7.46pm on Wednesday.

Wole Soyinka Talks On His Problem With Jonathan And Why He No Longer Regard Patience As The First Lady

Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka has criticised the Federal Government for not moving fast against Boko Haram the Islamist sect whose activities have killed thousands.

According to him, Nigeria would not have had to cope with Boko Haram on this large scale had the government taken action when the sect’s activities were just taking root. “This is the biggest problem I have with the Jonathan government,” he said.

Soyinka, who spoke in an interview with German Radio DW said some people were still bent on creating a political crisis in the country by stalling the elections and installing an interim government.Soyinka told DW:

“Ex-military officers and security officers are trying to push aside the political contestants and use the unrest as an excuse to establish an interim government. The nature of the interim government wants to pretend it’s not really a military intervention. A few political leaders, well-known civilians, want to give the veneer of civilian structure, but basically it’s a kind of political intervention.”He expressed regret that Nigeria “is aspiring very hard to become a failed state.” Speaking about the more than 200 schoolgirls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram a year ago, he expressed little hope that “the majority of them” will ever be found. Despite military gains made by troops from neighboring Cameroon, Niger and Chad, in collaborating with their Nigerian counterparts, Soyinka believes there’s no chance of a rapid victory over the jihadist group.

“It will take a generation at least to exterminate this phenomenon altogether. The military would not have had to cope with Boko Haram on this level if the proper action had been taken at the right time. This is the biggest problem I have with the Jonathan government.”Soyinka said he no longer regards Mrs. Patience Jonathan as First Lady. Soyinka spoke in an interview with DW.

He expressed concerns that the military could take over power.
The 80-year-old writer, who has taken an active role in African politics for more than 50 years, says he fears there are “clear indications of a military intervention” .

He lamented the increasingly aggressive direction the election campaign is taking. Recently, the president’s wife called on her husband’s followers to stone people who demanded a different leader. Political observers saw this as a call for violence against the main opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is campaigning on a platform of change.

Soyinka told DW that while he doesn’t support the opposition’s move to file criminal charges against the First Lady before the International Criminal Court (ICC), her comments should not go unchecked.
”What she said was totally unacceptable. I no longer regard her as the First Lady of Nigeria,” he said.

800 POLICEMEN DEPLOYED IN KADUNA FOR JONATHAN’S WIFE

Eight hundred plain-clothe and regular policemen were deployed in Kaduna to provide security for the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Dame Patience Jonathan, during the Peoples Democratic Party North-West rally for women on Wednesday.

But the wife of the President was absent at the rally, which held at the Kaduna Township Stadium.

She however attended another rally in Port-Harcourt, capital of her home state of Rivers.

The 800 policemen in Kaduna also had the support of operatives of other security agencies, including soldiers, who were stationed at strategic locations leading to the venue of the PDP women rally.

Motorists and other road users were barred from the Independence Way that led to the venue, resulting in heavy traffic gridlock in the Tafawa Balewa/Ungwar Rimi area of the city.

At the rally, Kaduna State Governor Mukhtar Yero boasted that the PDP would win the March 28 and April 11 elections in the state, saying Kaduna had been a PDP state and would remain so even after the elections.

The governor said, “The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is from Zazzau Emirate and we’re very proud of him because even his principal, President Goodluck Jonathan, has described him as a faithful and loyal deputy.

“Our son has also brought some developmental projects to the state, like the Gurara and Kudendan Power stations which are expected to reactivate moribund industries in the state.

“The resuscitated Lagos–Kano line definitely will pass through Kaduna State and our people will be the beneficiary not to talk of the new Abuja–Kaduna fast track where people can work in Abuja and live in Kaduna.”

Amina Sambo, wife of the Vice President, who represented Mrs. Patience, urged women from the North-West to vote for Jonathan during the March 28 rescheduled election.

She called on the women to come out en mass and vote for the President without fear of intimidation or harassment from the opposition party.

Three Nigerians caught trying to smuggle drugs into China, Dubai through Gala packs

Three persons – Friday Ogbonna, 33, David Famolu, 34, and Joy Osamunyi, – have been arrested for trying to smuggle 35.115 kilogramme of Cannabis sativa hidden inside sausage rolls to China.

Premium Times reports that they were arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, during a screening of passengers on their way to China.
Owning up to his crime, Mr. Ogbonna told investigators that he was given N100, 000 to smuggle the drugs to China.

“My friend in China gave me N100, 000 to take a bag to China. The last time I travelled to China, he

assisted me,” said Mr. Ogbonna, a trader at the Onitsha main market.

“When he gave me the money to take the bag containing gala to China, I thought he was doing me a favour I never knew he was digging my grave. After my arrest, I feel bad and regret my action. I am married with a child.” Mr. Famolu, a laptop dealer in Lagos, said he was introduced into the smuggling business by a friend.

“I bought the cannabis myself for N44, 000. I was introduced into drug trafficking by a friend who assisted me with my travel documents,” Mr. Famolu said.“He told me that if I can bring 4kg of cannabis to Dubai that he will pay me half a million naira. That was what encouraged me to take the risk. I blame myself because I should have listened to my conscience.” Ms. Osamunyi told investigators that she was unaware her bags contained illegal drugs.

“I lost my parents and I sell shoes and female clothes and bags to earn a living,” said Ms. Osamunyi, who hails from Benin, Edo State.“My friend in Dubai told me that somebody will give me foodstuff to take to him. That was how I collected the bags from the person she sent to me.I still find it difficult (to believe) that this will happen to me but I have learnt a bitter and painful lesson in my life.”

Famous Ogbeide, 25, was attending the funeral of a friend’s father when someone suggested they start a drinking competition.

Reports say, the deceased and his friends drank different types and combinations of gins and alcohol. Famous won the competition at the second round, earning him a cash prize of N4,000. Unfortunately, the prize couldn’t be redeemed as he was immediately hospitalised and died shortly after.

The police have stepped into the case by arresting the organisers of the event.

Investigations have commenced.

A United Kingdom woman, Sarah Ward has experienced a strange phenomena after giving birth to 4 babies within one year as a result of two pregnancies.

The 29-year-old became pregnant with triplets one month after giving birth to her first son. Ward gave birth to her triplets 7 weeks prematurely when her oldest son Freddie was only nine months old. Ward from Crayford, Kent, said that she now changes
about 30 diapers each day of all her children.

Ward said that she had a difficult time conceiving her first son, so she was delighted to learn that she was pregnant again. When doctors discovered that she was expecting triplets, they advised her to abort one of the fetuses to give the other 2 a better chance of survival.

However, Ward and her partner Benn Smith, 31, refused to so and decided to keep all three. They are now happy with their decision, as all three babies are healthy.

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested and charged before Isolo Magistrates’ Court for allegedly biting her friend’s lower lip during a fight at Canal Extension, off Itanola Drive, Ajao Estate, Lagos.

According to PM newspaper, the victim, Ada Joy Samuel, lost a part of her lower lip after she engaged Ejiofor Chioma in a street fight over allegation by Chioma that Ada was spreading gossip with her name.

Trouble started after Chioma, a mother of four whose husband had relocated to their village in Umuahia, Abia State, accused Ada of gossiping with her name to the neighbours.

This caused a disagreement between Chioma and Ada that eventually resulted in both fighting in public.

During the fight, Chioma allegedly grabbed Ada and bit off part of her lower lip which fell on the ground.

Ada started bleeding profusely and was rushed to a hospital, while Chioma was arrested and taken to the Police Station at Ajao Division and later charged to court with wounding under the Criminal Code.

When she was arraigned, she pleaded not guilty and the presiding Magistrate, Mrs Y. R. Pinheiro granted Chioma bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum..

The prosecutor, Inspector A. Abasss did not object to her bail but asked the court to take judicial notice of the seriousness of the injury sustained by Ada.

She was remanded in prison custody pending when she would meet the bail condition and the matter was adjourned.
