IS militant tweets selfie giving away location

Islamic State militants like to use social media for their propaganda and sometimes, the use of social media is their undoing. According to reports, an Islamic State militant tweeted a selfie in front of an IS headquarters in Syria, bragging about how they have recently seized a new territory. Unknowingly to them, intelligence analysts in the US were able to determine the exact location the pic was taken.

A day after the selfie was posted, a coalition airstrike tore the building to shreds and killed everyone inside.

"The guys were combing through social media and see some moron standing at this command bragging about the command and control capabilities for Daesh,” Air Force General and head of Air Combat Command, Herbert ‘Hawk’ Carlisle, told The Telegraph “Long story short, about 22 hours later through that very building, three JDAM’s [Joint Direct Attack Munitions] take that entire building out. It was a post on social media. Bombs on target in 22 hours.

Alison-Madueke, Undergoes Breast Cancer Treatment

Alison-Madueke, Undergoes Breast Cancer Treatment

The immediate past Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, according to a family source knowledgeable is undergoing a new round of treatment for breast cancer,
The source disclosed that Mrs. Alison-Madueke is currently in a hospital in London where she started a fresh round of therapy on Friday. The treatment was described as a daily therapy that will last for one week, said the source.

Mrs. Alison-Madueke left Nigeria on May 23, 2015 on a British Airways flight. Then President-elect, Muhammad Buhari, was also on the same London-bound flight, raising speculations that the former minister might have hurriedly booked herself on the flight for the opportunity to talk to Mr. Buhari.

However, a source on the flight told SaharaReporters that the then president-elect quietly but firmly discouraged all efforts by Mrs. Alison-Madueke to hold a conversation during the 6-hour flight. The former Petroleum Minister has not returned to Nigeria since that trip.

Our source also disclosed that Mrs. Alison-Madueke, whose tenure as minister was marked by several billion-dollar scandals, underwent surgery last year to remove tumors from her breast.

As one of the closest ministers to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mrs. Alison-Madueke was at the center of a controversy over more than $20 billion in oil revenues that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) reportedly failed to deposit at the Central Bank of Nigeria. The NNPC is an agency overseen by the Petroleum Minister.

Owing to the pervasive corruption in the oil sector, President Buhari has indicated that he would personally run the Petroleum Ministry.

APC Lacks Seriousness And Direction - Says PDP As They Remind Buhari Of His Campaign Promises

APC Lacks Seriousness And Direction - Says PDP As They Remind Buhari Of His Campaign Promises

In a new statement the PDP said the APC are doing the same thing they chastised immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan for doing, when he sought regional cooperation in fighting Boko Haram.
Following president Buhari's visit to Niger and Mali recently, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressive Congress (APC) of insincerity..

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh in a statement on Sunday said
“The APC must understand that the hallmark of democracy is freedom of expression and opinion, particularly on governance issues; inalienable rights of all citizens guaranteed by the constitution and which must not be denied them under any guise whatsoever.
“Though we had decided to give President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling party time to settle down, indicators show that the APC is not getting its bearing right and the PDP as a party that has nurtured and sustained democracy in the last 16 years, we cannot fold our hands and watch our nation drift towards dangerous undemocratic paths”, the party said.
The statement also claims since the APC took over power there has been no clear sign of seriousness and direction, but confusion, and hysteria for positions of power..
“The concern of well-meaning Nigerians is that this may be a pointer to the fact that the APC lacks clear-cut directions on how to govern a nation as complex as Nigeria”, it said.
“The negative effect of the glaring political commotion in the APC is compounding President Buhari’s self confessed nervousness and puzzlement, his flip-flops and worrisome reneging on campaign promises for which Nigerians will continue to hold him accountable.
Instead of fighting for positions, which betrays their lust, APC leaders should be more concerned with how to help President Buhari, who is still struggling with his ministerial list and basic appointments more than a week after his inauguration. They should be more concerned with how to end insurgency by the end of July as promised by President Buhari in his April 2, 2015 CNN interview.
“They should be concerned about how to pay N5,000 each to 25 million poor Nigerians beginning from the end of June; how to bring the Naira to the same value with the dollar; provide allowances to the discharged but unemployed Youth Corps members for Twelve (12) months; provide free education and meals for school children among others as they promised during the campaigns.
“We invite the APC to note the concern of Nigerians that the pictures emanating from their camp are not reassuring in this direction”, the PDP said.

Nigerians cannot continue to suffer while in the midst of plenty, he Maharaj ji,

Guru Satguru Maharaj ji, the Popular spiritual leader and founder of One Love Family sect,, has tasked President Muhammadu Buhari to redeem his vows to Nigerians and chase away the bad eggs in the society.

In a statement issued by the spiritual leader in Ibadan on Saturday and made available to NAN, Maharaj ji urged the president to tackle the prolonged fuel scarcity in the country.
“We want the President to chase away the bad eggs in the society; particularly the oil marketers threatening the polity with fuel scarcity.
“Nigerians have resorted to all kinds of make shift plans to survive. We cannot continue to suffer in the midst of plenty”, Maharajji said.
Maharaji also said that public wellbeing was being threatened by few fuel marketers and as such, urgent action needed to be taken against the oil cabals to move the country forward.
“This is part of your election promises and you can’t afford to disappoint Nigerians because it has now become a debt you owe the people”, he advised Buhari.
Guru Maharaj ji who declared himself to be the Perfect Living Master had earlier predicted that there was “no vacancy for Buhari at Aso Rock”.
But following the President Buhari’s victory at the poll, Guru Maharaji ji made his first address to the president last month.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government and petrol marketers on Friday agreed to put an end to Nigeria’s fuel scarcity problems before the close of business next week Saturday.
