How Whole Family Escaped Death In Car Crash(Photo)

According to Punch
A middle-aged trader, Kenneth Okorie, his pregnant wife, two children, a house help and a relation narrowly escaped being crushed to death in an auto crash after a lorry rammed into the car they were traveling in.

On Sunday at about 9.30am on the Umuahia- Okigwe end of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, a few kilometers before the NNPC Mega filling station. Where the incident occurred

As said, the trader, who is based in Okigwe, Imo State, was said to be traveling to Ihiteuboma near Umuahia to attend a child dedication ceremony of a friend when the incident occurred.

Speaking with our correspondent at the scene of the incident, Okerie, a Knight of the Catholic Church, said the Mercedes Benz the family was travelling in was driven by his wife when the incident occurred. He said
“My wife wanted to overtake a lorry loaded with groundnuts when suddenly two commuter buses belonging to Peace Mass Transit Company cruising on top speed showed up from the opposite direction.”
He said his wife attempted to avoid a head- on collision with the on-coming buses when the car accidentally hit the side of the lorry and both vehicles veered off the main road and plunged into the median of the dual-carriage highway.

The car was badly damaged as the lorry reportedly dragged the car onto the median, and almost squeezed it. The lorry also heaped bags of groundnuts on the roof, but none of the occupants sustained injuries.

Okerie attributed their escape to an “act of God”, while the wife, who was nervous, said God saved “the family from being wiped out”.

The driver of the lorry, Mr. Jimmy Chukwu, from Mgbowo in Enugu State, said he slowed down as he saw the two buses approaching from the opposite direction on top speed.

He said,
“If the driver of the Benz were to be a man, he would have been, perhaps, brave enough to apply the brake and dodge the approaching buses instead of ramming into the lorry.”
The 43-year-old driver, who said he was conveying the groundnuts from Benue State to Aba when the accident occurred, added that it was good that that no life was lost.

Governor Fayose's Elder Bother Is Angry Because Of The Way He Is Embarrassing The Family!

Governor Fayose's Elder Bother Is Angry Because Of The Way He Is Embarrassing The Family!

Governor Ayo Fayose's elder brother, Segun Fayose stated in an interview with The Nation says his younger brother is an embarrassment to their family. Speaking in Ibadan yesterday, Segun Fayose, a UK-based accountant said that he has cautioned his brother many times over his recent remarks insulting Obasanjo and Buhari but he has refused to listen.
"It is a pity Nigerians are celebrating criminals. I am angry with Nigerians for electing somebody like Ayodele as governor. My children cannot come to Nigeria because of the terrible situation of our country. I don’t have a relationship with any of our leaders because of their criminality and anybody who says I collected money from the opposition should step forward to challenge me.
Ekiti and Nigeria are bigger than Fayose’s name and both names should be protected. I don’t want anything from anybody, but Ayo should stop insulting and abusing my father’s name.
As a result of Fayose’s attitude, many people believe the Fayose family is rude but it is far from the truth. I have spoken to him many times, but he refused to listen. Buhari and Obasanjo are old enough to be his father and I don’t know why he should be insulting them. I am always sad with the situation of this country. Ayo’s arrogance is one of the reasons I said people should not vote for him prior to the Ekiti governorship election. If all I am saying is not true, my six children should die and I should end up in shame. Most of us abroad are not happy with the situation of Nigeria. We are sad. When people call me from Ekiti to complain about Ayo, I tell them to forgive the family. People should not see Ayo as an ambassador of our family.”he said

Read Barack Obama's Message To Nigerians Ahead Of 2015 Elections

US Embassy Nigeria, US president Barack Obama sent a message to Nigerians asking them to stand up against violence and express their views peacefully during the upcoming election. Transcribed version of what he said in the video.
Hello. Today, I want to speak directly to you the people of Nigeria. Nigeria is a great nation and you can be proud of the progress you’ve made. Together, you won your independence, emerged from military rule, and strengthened democratic institutions. You’ve strived to overcome division and to turn Nigeria’s diversity into a source of strength. You’ve worked hard to improve the lives of your families and to build the largest economy in Africa.
Now you have a historic opportunity to help write the next chapter of Nigeria’s progressby voting in the upcoming elections. For elections to be credible, they must be free, fair and peaceful. All Nigerians must be able to cast their votes without intimidation or fear.

So I call on all leaders and candidates to make it clear to their supporters that violence has no place in democratic elections—and that they will not incite, support or engage in any kind of violence—before, during, or after the votes are counted. I call on all Nigerians to peacefully express your views and to reject the voices of those who call for violence.

And when elections are free and fair, it is the responsibility of all citizens to help keep the peace, no matter who wins. Successful elections and democratic progress will help Nigeria meet the urgent challenges you face today. Boko Haram—a brutal terrorist group that kills innocent men, women and children—must be stopped. Hundreds of kidnapped children deserve to be returned to their families. Nigerians who have been forced to flee deserve to return to their homes.

Boko Haram wants to destroy Nigeria and all that you have worked to build. By casting your ballot, you can help secure your nation’s progress. I’m told that there is a saying in your country: “to keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done.” Today, I urge all Nigerians—from all religions, all ethnic groups, and all regions—to come together and keep Nigeria one. And in this task of advancing the security, prosperity, and human rights of all Nigerians, you will continue to have a friend and partner in the United States of America.

Prophesy On 2015 Presidential Election From Guru Maharaji

Prophesy On 2015 Presidential Election From Guru Maharaji

A lot of persons have prophesied on Nigeria's forth-coming general elections. To some, it will be bloody while to others, it will be devoid of violence.

The Spiritual Leader of One Love Family, Sat Guru Maharaji, has advised the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), to forget Nigeria’s presidency.
“There is no vacancy for Buhari at Aso Rock,” he declared in a statement on Sunday. According to him, “President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is the verifiable divine choice of the forthcoming presidential election.
As the Living Perfect Master of creation in whose hands the fate of Nigerian project lies spiritually, I declare divinity’s decision to return Jonathan to Aso Rock over Muhammadu Buhari, Daily Post reports.

“I had publicly and sufficiently advised Buhari against nursing the ambition to rule Nigeria again. Superior forces are actually in-charge of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I am at the helm of these great and unseen primordial powers of creation.

“My commitment to ensuring that Buhari and his fellow Anglo-American proxies do not deflect Nigeria off its path of gradual transition to authentic sovereignty, sustainable unity and real prosperity is sacrosanct. Nigeria is no longer to be ruled by feudal agents of Western neo-colonial power and Arab imperialists,” Guru added.

The spiritual leader called on all lovers of freedom, fairness and human dignity in Nigeria to vote for President Jonathan, saying, “He is an authentic component of Nigeria’s divinely graphed transition to greatness. His return to Aso Rock will further secure Nigeria from being re-enslaved by those who insist they were born to rule.”
