Eniyemamwen Olatoyosi Oyegun,  daughter of  the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, John Odigie-Oyegun on Saturday married her heartthrob,‎ Umaso John Eketu, a flying officer in the Nigerian Airforce. See photos below:

Four reported dead in Lagos boat mishap

No fewer than four persons have been reported dead by The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)  in a boat mishap which occurred this morning Jan. 30, in Lagos.

According to NEMA, the accident occurred at Badore in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of the state at about 10.00 a.m.

The South-West spokesman for the agency, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, disclosed this on Saturday in a statement obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
“The incident occurred at about 10.00 this morning.

“The boat with 17 people on board which was coming from Ijede capsized at Badore.
“Four people died while 13 others were rescued,’’ he said.
Dr Bandele Onimode, the South-West Zonal Coordinator of the agency, also confirmed that 13 passengers were rescued with help from some agencies.

Onimole lauded the Lagos State Waterways Authority, National Inland Waterways Authority, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and Marine Police for the rescue efforts.
He said the bodies had been taken to Ijede Hospital morgue.

Here's the rub ... Rob's in deep with the Kardashian TV franchise, and their contract gives the E! Network first bite at any reality show any of them might do. Kris is none too happy about Rob's new relationship, and she has a lot of power at E!.

Two of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro's children,  Babajide and  Gbolahan Obanikoro are currently been investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Sources at the anti- graft agency disclosed that N4,745,000,000.00 was traced to a company, Sylvan McNamara Limited, in which they both have investments in.

The money was allegedly paid into the company’s account with Diamond bank over a period of time from the Office of the National Security Adviser account with the CBN. According to the source, all the transfers took place between June and December 2014,which was during the Ekiti state governorship election.

N200 million was allegedly transferred into  Sylvan Mc Namara’s account on June 5, 2015, while N2billion was also wired into the account from the CBN/ Imprest Main account on June 16, 2015. Another transfer of N700 million went into the account on July 7, 2014, while N1billion was credited into the account on July 30, 2014.

Other transfers included: N160 million on August 8, 2014; N225 million on August 22, 2014; N200 million  on November 14, 2014 and N200 million on December 5, 2014.

Both Gbolahan and Babajide Obanikoro, were allegedly directors of the company and were also signatories to its account until 2014 when one Olalekan Ogunseye was made the sole signatory to the account. EFCC sources disclosed that the payments to the company from the office of the National Security Adviser were made without any contract.

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has alerted the general public on the new tactics terrorists have started operating with. They now disguise themselves as madmen to carry out their suicide attacks. Na wa o!

Defence spokesman, Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, who raised the alert yesterday January 29, said the recent suicide attack in Gombi, Adamawa State was an example of such tactics.‎ He appealed to Nigerians to be very vigilant and report any suspicious movement they notice.

This is indeed worrisome! not up to a week after the decomposing body of the Akaeze Ofulue III of Ubulu-Uku (pictured above)‎ was found in a bush after he was kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Obior/ Igbodo Road, Delta State, another monarch, Umukoro Josiah, the Aghaza 1of Olomoro in Isoko south local government area of Delta state, was kidnapped by some gunmen in his palace at Ekiagbodo yesterday morning January 29, 2016.

The Delta state Police command spokesperson, Celestina Kalu, has confirmed his abduction.
In a text message she sent to reporters she said

“The Olomoro King, Aghaza 1 was kidnapped in his office in Olomoro community. The kidnappers are heading to unknown destination with a Dark Green Rav 4 Jeep.” She said the police were on the trail of the abductors and is working to rescue the monarch.
