Houseboy Brutally Kills His Madam In Enugu State (See Photo)

Very sad news from Enugu state! A 59 year old grandmother was on Wednesday found dead in her bedroom at the One Day Road, Awkunanaw area of Enugu. The woman identified as Mrs. Agnes Elue, from Ogwashi-Uku, Delta state was said to have been clubbed to death last Sunday by her teenage house boy whose identity is being withheld. Elue was an academic staff of the Federal Government College, Enugu‎ before her death.
She was popularly known as “Nwanyi Maluogo” by neighbours because of her kind disposition. The house boy, according to sources, is a close relation of the deceased. Police said the house boy who concealed the murder for 4 days confessed that he used a pestle to hit the woman during a scuffle.
Enugu Police command spokesman, Ebere Amaraizu who confirmed the incident disclosed that the lid was blown open Wednesday morning when the same house boy went to a widow’s flat in the same compound and attempted to rape her. He had gone to the widow demanding N2000 from her but before the widow could reply him, he pounced on her and was stripping her naked when the alarm raised by the widow attracted the attention of the caretaker of the compound.
The caretaker promptly rushed to her rescue and dealt several blows on the boy while the widow also hit the boy with a pestle. It was at this stage that people rushed and arrested the boy. He was taken upstairs to ‎report to his madam only to discover her decomposing body in her bedroom. The house boy instantly confessed that he killed her on Sunday night while it was raining. He did not give reason for his action. But the police are not ruling out rape since the body of the woman was without clothes when it was found. According to TheNation, Amaraizu confirmed that the house boy who is also from Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State is in their custody while police investigate the murder and the attempted rape.

PDP May Be Heading For Final Destruction - David Mark

PDP May Be Heading For Final Destruction - David Mark

Senate President, David Mark, on Wednesday, raised the alarm that the Peoples Democratic Party may be heading for a final destruction if the infighting among its leaders was not immediately resolved.

Mark, who stated this while receiving the Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s PDP Post – election assessment committee, in his office said the continued acrimony between factions in the party, was dangerous.
He said, “The PDP is already hemorrhaging, unless we halt the bleeding and finds the necessary therapy, we may be heading for the final burial of the party.

“The party is already in a comatose status and we should do all we can to resuscitate the party rather than this unnecessary rancour and bulk passing.

“The emerging factions are absolutely unnecessary. The combatants must sheathe their swords and embrace dialogue.

“My appeal is that we should not do anything further that would damage the already fragmented house.
Everybody should come together and rebuild the party. We have gotten enough bruises. We need not inflict further pains on ourselves, with continuous bickering. Enough of this blame-game.”

Mark urged members of the party to return to the drawing board instead of washing their dirty linen in the public. He said, “I believe a useful lesson has been learnt from the PDP electoral misfortune. As for me, it is time to put on our thinking caps and chart a new course.”

He expressed confidence that Ekweremadu and his team will do a good job and address the remote and immediate causes of our misfortune and make recommendations that will enhance the future of the party.

“I have worked closely with the Deputy President of the Senate over the years and I know his capability and capacity to handle issues,” he added.

Mark called on all stakeholders to rise above the present circumstances and work hard to rejuvenate the party. He said the new status of the party as an opposition is a challenge which must be faced with all honesty, sincerity of purpose and dedication to duty.

He said democracy and the nation would be much better if the party plays credible opposition to ensure good governance and deliver dividends of democracy to Nigerians.

I Will Expose Muazu Underhand Dealings With APC – Fayose

I Will Expose Muazu Underhand Dealings With APC – Fayose

Ekiti State Governor has insisted that his call for the dissolution of the Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was in good faith, and in the overall interest of the party, saying;
“I have no apology on my position on the NWC because their responsibility as a party does not take away their failure in the last general elections.”
The governor, who also challenged the NWC to provide evidence of money released to him to prosecute the last elections, added that;
“Only N30 million was received for the last two elections and to the glory of the Almighty God and support of Ekiti people, we won all elections outrightly. I therefore demand for the mode with which money was released to me by the NWC.”
In a press release issued in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and News Media, Governor Fayose reiterated his commitment to the PDP,  pointing out that if it remained only him in the party, he would continue to defend its course.
“If it remains only me, I will continue to defend the course of this party because some people are born to stand up at difficult times, and I believe I am one such people born to stand up for the PDP at this difficult time,” he said. Reiterating his call for the dissolution of the NWC, Governor Fayose said; “In saner climes, when a war commander leads his troupe to an embarrassing defeat, such commander does not need anyone to tell him that he needs to leave the war front for another commander to take over.”While describing the attack on his person by the NWC as unfortunate, the governor said it was sad that the NWC members, especially the National Chairman were refusing to allow new people to manage the party after managing it into its first national electoral failure.
“How do we explain the PDP losing so scandalously in Bauchi State, despite the presence of the National Chairman, Federal Capital Territory Minister and the State governor?
“I am even more particular about the National Chairman because he sold the party to the opposition. I have cogent evidences of his unholy alliance with the opposition before the elections and if they go any further, I will expose all his underhand deals.
“I want to say it again that I have no apology for calling for the resignation of the NWC members, especially the National Chairman.
After all, someone resigned his position as the National Chairman for Alhaji Mu’azu to assume office.
“Lastly, let me say it categorically that they can only attempt to destroy this party for the moment, not forever. Sooner or later, they will all fade away and PDP will rise again,” the governor said.

Xenophobia: Senate Majority leader begs Jonathan to reconsider the suspension of Perm Secretary

Xenophobia: Senate Majority leader begs Jonathan to reconsider the suspension of Perm Secretary

Deputy Senate Majority Leader, Abdul Ningi, yesterday begged President Goodluck Jonathan to reconsider his  suspension of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Danjuma Sheni who recalled Nigeria’s envoy in South Africa  without a clearance from President Jonathan.

He said: “Knowing the anger and the mood of this country and believing that the Senate, and indeed, the National Assembly did the right thing in suggesting and urging the executive to recall the Ambassador, I, therefore, want this Senate not to look the other way but to urge Mr. President to temper justice with mercy.

“It is, indeed, within the president’s responsibility, powers and jurisdiction and I think it’s important at times like this that the Senate President, David Mark, should urge the president to temper justice with mercy so  that the permanent secretary is not dismissed. He did the wrong thing at the wrong time and he should not have done it because of the mood. So, the president, a humble man, should be lenient.”

Amb. Danjuma Sheni thought he was doing the right thing but didn't consult the President first, hence his suspension.

Buhari Meets With Journalist He Jailed 31 Years Ago

Buhari Meets With Journalist He Jailed 31 Years Ago

President-elect Gen Buhari met with Mr Tunde Thompson, one of the journalists he jailed for disobeying Decree 4 during his administration in 1984. Decree 4 was enacted by Gen Buhari to checkmate the authenticity of press reports, a policy many believed was against the freedom of speech. Both men met at a media parley the president-elect had with his media campaign team in Abuja yesterday May 5th.

Mr Thompson now works with Gen Buhari's media team. Gen Buhari told him that jailing him, at that time was one of the challenges of his administration then. He appreciated his media team for carrying out a decent campaign for him during the election.

"I want to commend you especially for two things. First, is the decent media campaign you conducted despite the PDP’s dirty tactics, you stayed focused on issues and avoided the temptation to sling mud. I thank you for your uncommon motivation to do the work. Despite the lean budget on which we ran our campaign, you did not allow the lack of adequate remuneration to stall the work at any point in time. You continued to give your best" he said

Emmanuel Adebayor And Issues Surrounding His Family

Emmanuel Adebayor And Issues Surrounding His Family

This juicy, y'all need to read it. Former African Footballer of Year, Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor has been having a running battle with his family for years. His sister has gone to the media a few times to claim he doesn't take of them and has turned his back on them, plus other accusations. She even claimed that Emmanuel kicked their mother (above) out of his house in November 2014.

The Tottemham striker took to Facebook yesterday to give a lengthy insight into his complicated personal life. He listed the things he's done for his family and basically accused them of using him for his money, stealing from him and being ungrateful. Read it after the cut...

A couple years ago, I bought a house in East Lagon (Ghana) for $1.2 million. I found it normal to let my older sister, Yabo Adebayor stay in that house. I also allowed my half brother (Daniel) to stay in the same house. A few months later, I was on vacation and decided to go to that house. At my surprise, I saw many cars in the driveway. In fact, my sister decided to rent out the house without me knowing. She also kicked Daniel out of that house.

Note that the house had about 15 rooms. When I called her and asked for explanation, she took about 30 minutes to abuse and insult me over the phone. I called my mother to explain the situation and she did the same as my sister. This same sister says I am ungrateful. Ask her about the car she is driving or anything she is selling today?

My brother Kola Adebayor, has now been in Germany for 25 years. He travelled back home about 4 times, at my expense. I fully cover the cost of his children's education. When I was in Monaco, he came to me and asked for money to start a business. Only God knows how much I gave him. Where is that business today?

When our brother Peter passed away, I sent Kola a great amount of money so he could fly back home. He never showed up at the burial. And today that same brother (Kola) is telling people that I am involved in Peter's death. How? He is the same brother who went and told inaccurate stories about our family to "The Sun" in other to take some money. They also sent a letter to my Club when I was in Madrid so I could get fired.

When I was in Monaco I thought it would be good to have a family of footballers. So I made sure my brother Rotimi gets into a football academy in France. Within a few months; out of 27 players, he stole 21 phones.

I would not say any anything about my brother Peter Adebayor because he is not here today. May his soul rest in peace.

My sister Lucia Adebayor keeps telling people that my dad told me to bring her to Europe. But what would be the purpose to bring her to Europe ? Everyone is here for a reason.

I was in Ghana when I received the news about my brother Peter being seriously ill. I drove the fastest I could to Togo in order to meet him and help. When I arrived, my mother said I could not see him and I should just give the money and she would solve everything. Only God knows how much I gave her that day. People are saying I didn't do anything to save my brother, Peter. Am I a fool to drive 2 hours to Togo for nothing?

I organized a meeting in 2005 to solve our family issues. When I asked them about their opinion, they said I should build each family member a house and give each of them a monthly wage.
Today I am still alive and they have already shared all my goods, just in case I die.

For all these reasons, it took very long for me to set up my foundation in Africa. Every time I try to help the people in need, they had to question me and all of them thought it was a bad idea.
If I am writing this, the main purpose is not to expose my family members. I just want other African families to learn from this. Thank you.
