APC wins as Godwin Obaseki becomes Governor-elect
The All
Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the just concluded gubernatorial election held yesterday 28th September, 2016 in Edo
State, Godwin Obaseki, has won the election, emerging victorious over the rival party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Pastor Ize-Iyamu of the PDP came second in the votes collated and announced by The
Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. According to INEC, APC won 13 of the 18 local government
areas of the state.
