Chai!!! 'I don't mind playing in a club filled with gays' - DJ Jimmy Jatt

Notable DJ, Jimmy Adewale Amu, aka DJ Jimmy Jatt says he has no problems playing for gays or playing in a club filled with gays. According to him, what people do in their private lives is not his business.
"Honestly, I don’t mind playing in a gay bar or performing in a show filled with gays. It is a free world, you know. Why should I bother about anybody’s sexual preferences or relationships? It’s not my business to bother about what they do with their bodies in private or to themselves. For me, this is all about business. My job is to provide entertainment and to make people happy. I am neither gay nor bisexual. Everybody knows I am happily married with children. But, if by any means somebody comes to me with any funny intentions, that is when I will make them see the other side of me,” he told Punch.

Oh! Couple who married 75 years ago died just hours apart as they held hands in bed

Oh! Couple who married 75 years ago died just hours apart as they held hands in bed

Jeanette Toczko, 96, and her 95-year-old husband, Alexander Toczko, from San Diego, California, died just hours apart as they held hands in bed.

The pair spent their lives in love after becoming boyfriend and girlfriend when they were only eight years old.

But several weeks ago, Mr Toczko suffered a broken hip in a fall and was left bed-bound. A local hospice delivered a special bed to his home, which staff pushed up next to his beloved wife's bed.
As Mr Toczko's condition quickly declined, Mrs Toczko's own health took a turn for the worse. The couple had always said they wished to die 'in their own bed, holding hands, in each other's arms'.

"She kept asking us, 'What is today, what is today?' We said it was June. She said it's June 29th, and June 29th is their 75th wedding anniversary," said Toczko-Cushman.

The family went along with it, buying balloons and flowers to celebrate, in bed.

"And we said happy anniversary, and my mother was thrilled to death because it was their anniversary and she knew that he was going and that they had made it to 75 years," said Toczko-Cushman.

The couple's daughter, Aimee Toczko-Cushman, described the moment she told her mother she had lost her husband, who kept a photo of Mrs Toczko at her Holy Communion in his wallet.

'I told my mother he was gone,'. 'She hugged him and she said, "See this is what you wanted. You died in my arms and I love you. I love you, wait for me, I'll be there soon".

The family left, leaving the couple to share their final moments together.
"Even the hospice nurse said it was the most incredible thing to see the two of them taking those last breaths together," Toczko-Cushman said.

"I knew she wasn't go to last too much longer," Toczko said
"And he died in her arms, which is exactly what he wanted. I went in there and told my mother he was gone; she hugged him and she said, 'See this is what you wanted. You died in my arms and I love you. I love you, wait for me, I'll be there soon,'" said Toczko-Cushman. "It was tough," said Toczko.

The couple who were married for 75 years have fulfilled their final wish to die in each other's arms after they passed away clutching hands, within hours of each other, in their bed.

About 24 hours later, it became time for Jeanette to join her husband.

"They both entered the pearly gates holding hands," said Toczko.

The Toczkos have since been buried.

Alexander Toczko was a World War II veteran.

Chris Brown stops his $10,000 per month child support payments to his daughter's Mum

Chris Brown stops his $10,000 per month child support payments to his daughter's Mum

So with all the back and forth between Chris Brown and his baby Mama's child support payments fights, he is now really pissed off. His baby mama, Nia Guzman said Chris only gave her $2,500 for child support for their baby Royalty. Nia demanded $15,000 each month but Chris decided to take her to court and ended up agreeing to pay her $10,000 each month instead which she agreed to.

The agreement was set to start on July 1, but it fell apart when Brown sought a visitation with Royalty this week only to learn that she was with his mother Joyce Hawkins in Virginia.

This made him mad enough to say he wouldn't pay her the $10,000 because he is currently not in good terms with his own mother. The photos he shared on his IG page in April of Roylaty and his Mum has since been deleted off his page.

Lagos: Ambode has no plan to demolish Ladipo market

Lagos: Ambode has no plan to demolish Ladipo market

Lagos State Government, yesterday, assured traders at the Ladipo Market that it has no plan to demolish the market.

Early in the week, there were rumours  that the state government partially demolished some parts of the structures for the commencement of full demolition plans by the government.

At a media briefing in his Mushin office, the executive Secretary of the Council, Mr. Jide Bello said:
“Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has no plan to demolish the market, the local council developer only moved in to take ownership of the market, but we have no plan to demolish the market.”
According to Bello, the council’s plan as contained in an agreement earlier reached with the traders, was to redevelop the market in phases with construction lasting for a period of three to five months.
“Therefore, to commence the redevelopment plan, bulldozer of the developer moved in on Tuesday, business activities had continued in the Ladipo market unhindered and the traders are presently at their stalls carrying out their business transactions.”
He explained that the Local Government decided to redevelop the market due to its deplorable state,  which did not fit into the megacity plans of the state.

He said the Mushin Local Government intended to undertake the development of the market in phases and because of that, had not collected any form of rent from the traders in the market since the beginning of 2015.

He assured traders that current owners of stalls would be given priority as long as they can provide valid ownership papers once the construction is completed.

Imagine! Robot kills worker at Volkswagen plant in Germany

A robot has killed a contractor at one of Volkswagen’s production plants in Germany, the automaker has said.

The man died on Monday at the plant in Baunatal, about 100km (62 miles) north of Frankfurt, VW spokesman Heiko Hillwig said.
The 22-year-old was part of a team that was setting up the stationary robot when it grabbed and crushed him against a metal plate, Hillwig said.

He said initial conclusions indicate that human error was to blame, rather than a problem with the robot, which can be programmed to perform various tasks in the assembly process.

He said it normally operates within a confined area at the plant, grabbing auto parts and manipulating them.
Another contractor was present when the incident occurred, but was not harmed, Hillwig said. He declined to give any more details about the case, citing an ongoing investigation.

German news agency DPA reported that prosecutors were considering whether to bring charges, and if so, against whom.

Buhari has the blueprint to Nigeria's ecomonic and health problems - Lai Mohammed

Buhari has the blueprint to Nigeria's ecomonic and health problems - Lai Mohammed

The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Lai Mohammed spoke on Thursday during his 9th Ramadan Lecture in Oro, Kwara State about how the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has the solution to tackle Nigeria’s developmental challenges.
He said that Nigeria has a lot of challenges in many sectors especially in areas of health, poverty, education and unemployment.

He said Buhari’s administration had worked out immediate and long term measures to deal with the challenges in all critical sectors.

He said Buhari’s government would solve the problems ‘even in the face of paucity of funds.

According to him, the scarcity of funds was caused by the fall in the price of crude oil, which Nigeria depended on for most of its foreign exchange revenue.
He added that the paucity of funds was caused by the alleged “unbridled and maddening corruption that has seen public officers ferreting away public funds.”
Mohammed said,
“I have deliberately taken us through the grim statistics in the very key areas of health, education, poverty and unemployment to drive home the point that we are in trouble, as a nation, if we don’t act in a deliberate, concerted and determined way to turn things around for the better.”
He said that while Nigerians had made history by voting for the APC to take over the reins of power from a ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party, that held sway for 16 years, they must now follow up by ensuring that the process of change – which they brought about – came into fruition.
According to him, the best way to do it is for Nigerians to remain politically-aware and engaged as they were in the run-up to the elections.
“That simply means they must be willing to defend the change they voted for by continuing to support the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, while preventing the reactionary forces, who never wanted or voted for change anyway, from sabotaging his party’s change mantra. Whatever is worth fighting for is worth defending.
“I say this with all sense of responsibility, and against the stark realities that we face daunting challenges in all sectors. Never before has our nation been put in a situation where it virtually had to start rebuilding from the scratch, after almost all sectors have become nearly comatose. This is why it is necessary for the new government at the centre to make haste slowly, and get it right once and for all.
“Whereas we face huge problems in the economic and security sectors, as well as in the area of infrastructural renewal, just to mention a few, let us restrict ourselves to the social issues alone for the purpose of these remarks.”
According to him, Nigeria’s health statistics are worse than the average for African countries, even though Nigeria claims to be the giant of Africa.

He said 128 children were dying in every 1000 live births as of 2013 while mortality from malaria was estimated at 1,157 deaths per 100,000 population.

He added that tuberculosis was estimated at five deaths per 100,000 population in 2013.
He stated that “about 900,000 children and mothers die each year in Nigeria, accounting for 14 per cent of all maternal and 13 per cent of all under-5 deaths globally, and second only to India.”
According to him, at 576 deaths per 100,000 live births, the maternal mortality ratio has remained static since 2008.

He stated that although child mortality is falling, progress is insufficient to reach the MDG targets.
Mohammed also said that “an increasing proportion of child deaths, that is 37 per cent, occurs during the first month of life from largely preventable causes which are complications during birth, infection and complications of premature births.”
He added that malnutrition remained a significant challenge, contributing to 35 per cent of deaths in children under-5 years in Nigeria.
“The proportion of underweight – children who have low weight for their age- increased by 21% between 2003 and 2013, and the proportion of children with wasting, that is low weight for height, increased by 64% during the same period.
“Overall, socio-economic and geographical inequalities in health outcomes and access to healthcare are stark and increasing, with the poor and rural having worst outcomes.
“In the area of immunisation, Nigeria is still one of the three remaining polio-endemic countries, together with Pakistan and Afghanistan.   In addition, Nigeria has the world’s largest burden of HIV-positive newborns, with more than 50,000 children born with positive status each year.”
He also said Nigeria’s education system should prepare the children for the responsibilities of citizenship and prepare the youths to contribute to the development of the country.

He stated that unfortunately the current system was failing to equip Nigeria’s children with the knowledge and skills they needed to thrive in today’s rapidly changing society and economy.
According to him,the current situation of education in Nigeria depicts large numbers of children, that is 10.5 million, remain out of school.

He added that children from poorer households, rural areas and females were more likely not to be in school.
Primary school attendance is 44 %  in the northeast compared to 81 % in the southeast. Even when children are in school, a large proportion are not learning.
According to him nearly half of all children who have completed primary school cannot read a complete sentence.

Mohammed also said that a large proportion of Nigerian population live very close to the poverty line and are highly vulnerable to small variations of income.
He stated that since 2003, Nigeria had recorded strong economic growth, with real Gross Domestic Product growth averaging seven per cent.

He added that however, in the same period, poverty rate had only declined slightly from about 48.4% in 2003 to 46 % in 2010.

Oshiomhole Replies Okonjo-Iweala Over Missing $4.1bn

Oshiomhole Replies Okonjo-Iweala Over Missing $4.1bn

The war of words between Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State and the former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, continued, yesterday, with Oshiomhole challenging the former minister to explain what happened to the $4.1 billion she presented in her last report.

Governor Oshiomhole also challenged the former minister to explain why she never published simultaneously what was accrued to the Excess Crude Account during the period she published what was distributed.

The governor, who spoke on the state of the economy Channels Television programme monitored in Lagos, accused the minister of habitually playing around statistics.

He said: “The decision to take money from the Excess Crude Account, if she had the power, the law should have been that power is vested in the National Economic Council, NEC. NEC is an institution created by the constitution.“What she was referring to is her own administrative arrangement. This $2 billion is the last sum, in her last report. She said we have $4.1 billion, she said so orally but it was captured in the minutes, only to come at the last minute to say oh ‘X’ is left.

“If you ask her, what is it that she paid for on the strength of augmentation, that is to say, if they were augmenting, it means that even if there is a drop in price, they will take from the Excess Crude Account to make up the difference.

“If they were doing that, you wouldn’t have the kind of situation we are in today where revenue drops by about 45 percent. I think, with all due respect to Okonjo-Iweala, she knows how to play around, (I don’t want to say, lie) with statistics. I have made this point that she kept open only part of the pages and not the entire book.

“The logic of transparency is that every minister must publish in full what is accruing to the Federation Account, month to month, and what is distributed to whom. What she has been publishing is what went to the Federal Government, each state government and local governments.

“But she has never published simultaneously what accrued during the period, out of which this said sum was distributed so that you can get the net, what was distributed from all that was collected and see what is left in the excess crude. Now you can see her changing the goal post.

“Okonjo-Iweala was a member of the National Economic Council. I was a member. I had asked her and I am on record as asking her, don’t give us verbal report on matters of Federation Account, give us written report.”
