John Travolta: The Genes Are Strong With This One

John Travolta: The Genes Are Strong With This One

Rarely do we catch a glimpse of John Travolta's eldest living child, Ella Blue Travolta, but she's 15 now ... and we've only seen her once or twice in the last few years. We were thinking about her this morning, for whatever reason, and discovered the last known -- public -- photo taken of Ella (October 2015), and man, is she gorgeous. She could be John's younger sister if, you know, John were young enough to have a sister this age and wasn't 40-some years older than his girl.

Check out Ella Bleu over the last few months -- she's gorgeous:

Kylie Jenner tells fans to stop touching her

Kylie Jenner tells fans to stop touching her

Kylie says the fan she scolded "wasn't annoying," and she eventually came into the restaurant and they took photos together.
Kylie Jenner's not gonna put up with any screaming little kids, even if they are her loyal fans ... as 3 girls learned the hard way. Kylie got the usual Kardashian-Jenner treatment at Craig's on Thursday night -- swarmed by paparazzi and fans.
It happens every time, and Kylie's gotta know that at this point. Still, watch her reaction when 3 persistent girls tried to get her photo, an autograph, a lock of hair ... something! KJ was NOT having it.

Joke of the year: Gov Fayose berates President Buhari, says Nigerians are suffering

Joke of the year: Gov Fayose berates President Buhari, says Nigerians are suffering

Read the press statement below...
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has called on well-meaning Nigerians to prevail on President Mohammadu Buhari to stop his needless foreign trips, describing the president’s trip to the United States of America on Wednesday for the 4th Nuclear Security Summit while Nigerians are suffering at home as “joke of the year.”
The governor said “it remains a mystery what Buhari who met power generation at 6,000MW and could not manage it such that power generation crumbled to Zero Megawatt yesterday, will contribute to the Nuclear Energy Summit in America.”

Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said “it is shameful that while President Buhari was far away in the United States of America, attending a summit that does not have any bearing on Nigeria and its people, an unprecedented happened - power generation stopped completely for over three hours!”

He said the sufferings of Nigerians deserved the attention of the president instead of junketing around the world, wasting the country’s scarce foreign exchange. The governor alleged that over $50 million must have been spent on the president’s frequent foreign trips, adding that Nigerians should ask President Buhari whether his trip to the United States of America to attend Nuclear Energy Summit will bring the lingering fuel scarcity being experienced in the country to an end.

“Nigerians are suffering. Petrol has become so scarce that our people now sleep in petrol stations to buy fuel at N200 per litre while the president who should alleviate their sufferings is in the USA, attending a summit that he won’t even understand whatever that is discussed there. “This is not acceptable. Mr President should stay at home and see to it that at least, power generation returns to 6,000MW that he met it if he cannot add to it.

“Mr President should stay at home and bring this fuel scarcity that has paralysed almost all activities in the country to an end. “Nigerians are saying their president should stay at home and bring to an end the killings, raping of women and destruction of farmlands by Fulani herdsmen.

“Most importantly, the President should listen more to those of us who criticise him instead of those hailing every of his wrong steps either because of what they intend to gain or for fear of persecution,” the governor said.

In fact, what have we benefited from these foreign trips? God help us o!

His words:
They say that true artists suffer for their craft, but perhaps no artist has suffered like myself on this hustle of ours! The moment I got the script titled #Peppersoup from Grace Oboba Edwin-Okon with me Denrele as the lead character, I just wanted to jump on board! And yes, I jumped on in my gangsta mode!

Whilst shooting the first scene, I was supposed to pass out but in a bid to make it convincing, I fell on my face and accidentally split my eye brow area open! I bled like crazy!!! REAL BLOOD!!!

The producer wanted to strike set and cancel the shoot but I refused! Say what? First rule: the show must go on! And I was kinda lucky we were shooting in an hospital (Pinnacle Medical centre) so there were nurses to dress the wound.

Had to add some extra extra extension to my hair to hide the plaster....And I got back on set like nothing happened! I'm was in a lot of pain buy hey...Pinnacle medical services and Derwin Productions had put too much into the project for Peppersoup to be scrapped..THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

I had fun shooting Peppersoup with Layole Oyatogun, Beverly Osu, Lisa Omorodion, Lilian Afegbai, Bryan Stevens and all the other cast members as well as the amazing crew the Executive producer Dr. Maymunah Kadiri, the director/producer Grace Oboba Edwin-Okon and everyone else who worked on Peppersoup. 'I will critically review budget passed by National Assembly before assenting' - President Buhari

'I will critically review budget passed by National Assembly before assenting' - President Buhari

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, said in Washington DC that he will critically review the 2016 Appropriation Bill passed by the National Assembly before assenting to it.
Speaking at a meeting with the United States Secretary of State, Mr John Kerry, President Buhari in a statement by his special adviser media, Femi Adesina, said that in view of the controversial alteration and padding of the budget proposals, he needed to review the appropriation bill to be certain that its contents tallied with the authentic budget proposal presented to the National Assembly.
“Some bureaucrats removed what we put in the proposal and replaced it with what they wanted. I have to look at the bill that has been passed by the National Assembly, ministry by ministry, to be sure that what has been brought back for me to sign is in line with our original submission,” the President said.
Declaring that his administration will continue to vigorously prosecute its war against corruption, President Buhari sought and received an assurance from Mr Kerry that the United States Government will facilitate the repatriation of all stolen Nigerian funds found within the American banking system.
“It will greatly help our country if you assist us to recover all our stolen funds which we can establish to be within your financial system,” the President told Mr Kerry.
Responding, the Secretary of State said that he has been told that the stolen Nigerian funds were in “billions of dollars”.
“It’s not easy to hide that amount of money and we are pretty good in tracing them,” Mr Kerry assured President Buhari, adding that relevant United States Government Officials will meet with the Chairman of Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to discuss further cooperation in that regard.
Mr Kerry applauded the Buhari Administration’s success in rolling back the Boko Haram insurgency, saying that the United States will continue to give Nigeria all possible support to ensure that the terrorist sect is finally eliminated as a threat to national and regional security.
The Secretary of State also praised President Buhari’s clear order that Nigeria’s Armed Forces must show greater regard for the human rights of persons in the theatre of operations against Boko Haram.
Acknowledging that the United States has been of great help to his administration in the retraining and re-equipping of the Nigerian Armed Forces that has resulted in the significant success already achieved against Boko Haram, President Buhari said that the Federal Government was now working very hard to restore full normalcy in the North Eastern states.
“Boko Haram no longer holds any local government area. We are reconstructing damaged facilities and preparing the police to take over and reassert civilian control over areas affected by the insurgency,” the President told Mr Kerry.

30-year old woman and her boyfriend beat 4-year old daughter to death for drinking brother's juice

30-year old woman and her boyfriend beat 4-year old daughter to death for drinking brother's juice

A 30 year old Texas woman, Jeri Quezada has been arrested for beating her 4 year old daughter, Leiliana Wright, to death with a belt and bamboo stick after she drank her 18 month old brother's juice. The little girl later died from the injuries she suffered on March 12.
Quezada said due to the bruises on her daughter's face, she left the girl at Phifer’s house while she ran errands with her 18-month-old son because she couldn’t take her daughter out in public with facial bruising.
Police were called to the home on March 13 after Quezada called 911 and said she was performing CPR on her daughter.

When paramedics arrived on scene, they found the girl had facial bruising, and Quezada said her daughter fell in the shower after coming home from a friend’s house with bruises.
The girl was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead and her death was ruled a homicide three days later due to blunt force trauma to the head and abdomen.

Detectives said that Quezada changed her story multiple times during their investigation, according to WFAA.

Quezada told police that later that afternoon, that at about 3pm, her boyfriend Phifer had called her to bring Pedialyte for Leiliana, she said she went ti his house which was where Leiliana was and dropped of the Pedialyte. and then went home to take a nap.
Then at about 5:30 p.m Phifer called her to say Leiliana was making herself throw up, so he tied her up for about 10 minutes.
About 9:30 p.m. Quezada arrived to pick up her daughter and learned she was tied up in the closet. Quezada then "allowed him [Phifer] to give her a shot of heroin since the child couldn't see her mother doing drugs," police said.
Quezada told police when the closet door was opened she saw that her daughter was tied up with her wrists behind her back -- and that she was restrained in such a way that prevented her from sitting down.
The child was eventually released from the closet. The child said she was hungry and her mother made her half of a peanut butter sandwich. When Leiliana had trouble swallowing the food, Quezada began slapping her on the chest and smacking her in the head while ordering her to swallow the food.

Quezada said Phifer then put on black gloves, forced the young girl's mouth open and forcefully poured Pedialyte into her mouth. Quezada said her daughter then stood next to her, looked down and said nothing before saying she was going to throw up.
The girl ran for the bathroom, but didn't make it. She threw up in the kitchen along the way. When she came out of the bathroom, Phifer grabbed her by the throat and lifted her off the ground with one hand and slammed her into her into a wall in the closet; police said this action left an indentation in the wall.
Quezada said Phifer screamed and cursed at the child and threw her into the closet before closing the door.
According to Quezada, her daughter was allowed out of the closet about 15 to 20 minutesQuezada asked her if she wanted to tske a shower, she said yes, and she was allowed to take a shower on her own. She said she left the bathroom to get her daughter some pajamas then heard Phifer in the bathroom saying, "Get you some of this" before hearing her daughter fall in the shower.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office said Leiliana suffered bruising ‘from head to toe’ and had whip marks on her back.

Quezada is being held on a charge of injury to a child with a bond set at $500,000. Police hasn't arrested Phifer on any crimes yet.
