OMG!! NYSC Member Commits Suicide Over Girlfriend

The body of a 26-year-old National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, member, identified as Ernest, was, Wednesday, recovered from his one room apartment after he reportedly took a poisonous substance.

Reports indicated that the young man, who was in love with a fellow NYSC member, Chioma Okewuru, went berserk when the girl came back from her village over the weekend with a ring from a man she had promised to marry.

Ernest, who is from Edo State and a graduate of the University of Benin, was posted to Cross River State in October, where he met and fell in love with Chioma, and both were serving in Redemption Secondary School, Ofombogha 1 in Obubra Local Government Area of Cross Rivers State,vanguard reports.

Another Suicide Bomber Blows Up Self In Biu, North-East, Nigeria

A suicide bomber blew himself up at a crowded bus station in Biu, northeast Nigeria, on Thursday, while a second bomber was shot dead before he could detonate his explosives, witnesses told AFP.

Babagana Kyari, a civilian vigilante, said “at least 18 people, including three women, died… and several others were injured” although there was no immediate corroboration of that death toll.

The attack happened after two men arrived the Tashar Gandu motor park on the edge of the town in Borno State, where one detonated his explosives among passengers and vendors, onlookers said.

An electrician, Chukwuka Onuorah, 33, who was contracted to install a DSTV decoder, in the home of a client, Mrs Gloria, 32, allegedly returned to the house the next day To Molest the 15-year old housemaid.

The incident occurred around 3pm on February 6, when Gloria who lived alone with the house help invited Onuorah over to her house to install the decoder. Onuorah did not finish the job that day and was told that he should come back only when Gloria was at home.

The next day however, Onuorah came back to Gloria’s house without informing her that he was coming to complete the installation. He immediately pounced on the housemaid who was alone in the house and forcefully had sex with her.

Pandemonium broke out in the Mosafejo, Oshodi-Isale area of Lagos State, after rival groups said to be members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, clashed on Tuesday evening and early Wednesday.

Four people were reportedly killed, while several others were injured in the fracas which was stopped after the intervention of security agencies.

Photos Of Buhari ‘In London’ With Tony Blair Is Fake - Buhari’s Spokesman Admits To Sending Fake Photos (MUST READ)

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose may be right by saying Buhari's visit to British former Prime minister, Tony Blair never existed as the Director of Media and Publicity for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Organisation, Garba Shehu has come out, not to defend that the doctored pictures of the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, which was made to pass of as interviews done in the UK, but to say that the issue of the pictures was not important.

Shehu had on Saturday, February 21, 2015 posted pictures online showing General Buhari with former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair and another with US-based TV host, Kemi Fadojutimi, which have since been rubbished as fake.

Guardian newspaper, had on Sunday, February 22, 2015 used the photos as its cover, but issued a statement on Monday, February 23, 2015, apologizing for the mix up, with an editor of the paper, Tope Temler Olaiya saying on Twitter that Mr. Shehu should be blamed. She said: “blame Garba Shehu’s sloppiness who sent out the picture with accompanying press statement.”

In a bid to get his reaction over the matter, The Scoop contacted Shehu asking him to clarify the issue of the misleading picture, but he tried to dodge the matter by saying: “We’re not dwelling on that issue. We want to use all our time to see how discussions can be advanced on the issues of insecurity, corruption, mismanagement and unemployment.”

When quizzed further as to if he felt the controversy would rub off negatively on General Buhari’s ambition. Shehu said the issue was irrelevant.

He said: “The voter has a decision to make, whether the issue of photograph is more important to him than the issue of large scale insecurity. The media and the voter have a choice to make.”

South Korea Legalises Adultery

South Korea’s Constitutional Court on Thursday struck down a 60-year-old statute outlawing adultery under which violators faced up to two years in prison.

The nine-member bench ruled by seven to two that the 1953 law was unconstitutional.“Even if adultery should be condemned as immoral, state power should not intervene in individuals’ private lives,” said presiding justice Park Han-Chul.

A middle-aged man, Mudashiru Sheriffdeen, has reportedly run away immediately he was told his wife, Taiwo, gave birth to a baby boy without arms.

Sherifdeen, who lives at Bosun Street, Ifo, Ifo Local Government area of Ogun State, was said to have taken to his heels on Tuesday when he heard that their new baby boy had no arms.

Vanguard gathered that the baby boy was born around 2pm at a private hospital, Majotal Medical Clinic, at Ilogbo area of Ado/Odo-Ota Local Government Area of the state.

The Nigerian Army on Wednesday announced a special promotion for all soldiers involved in liberating Baga in Borno from Boko Haram insurgents.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Kenneth Minimah, announced the promotion while addressing the soldiers during an official visit to Baga in Kukawa Local Government Area.

Minimah said the promotion was to reward the soldiers for their gallant effort in flushing out the insurgents.He added that soldiers who died in the battle with the insurgents would also be promoted posthumously.
