Bishop Refuses To Pray For A Presidential Candidate, READ The Reason He Gave
As the campaign for the upcoming general elections
continues to generate controversies, Primate of the Orthodox Anglican
Church, Nigeria, Bishop Christopher Umane, has disclosed why he rejected
an invitation to pray for one of the leading presidential candidates.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday, Umane said his reason for rejecting
the invitation was because he didn’t want to offend God, Vanguard
reports.
According to him, the two leading presidential candidates, President
Goodluck Jonathan, representing the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and
Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC)
have diverted the attention of Nigerians from the major issues plaguing
the nation.
