Benue State Commissioner Slumps, Dies At 46


 
Benue State Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives, Mr. Aondowase Chia has died at the age of 46. 

According to reports, after presenting the annual budget of his ministry to the state Executive Council on Tuesday, March 3rd, he returned to his office where he slumped. He was immediately rushed to the Benue State Teaching Hospital Makurdi, Benue state by his aides. 

He died in the early hours of yesterday. Born October 27th 1968, Mr Chia was married with eight children. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

Nawaoo! A man known as Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been arrested and is facing charges of causing grievous bodily harm after being accused of persuading his followers to cut off their private parts.
 
According to the police investigation, About 400 of Singh’s followers cut off their private parts at a hospital run by him. Singh has previously been questioned over the murder of an investigative journalist and has also been accused of sexual assault, but has never been charged.

According to Cameroonian investigative journalist, Chief Bissong Etahoben, the President of Chad, Idriss Deby said he knows where exactly Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau is hiding. He's quoted to have said this at a press conference with the president of Niger, Issoufou, earlier today.

For the second time in a week, the Senate have refused to deliberate on the ministerial nomination of former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, who resigned last year to pursue his governorship ambition.

He was nominated again by President Jonathan but APC senators have vowed to make sure he doesn't become minister again. According to reports, the Senate cleared four ministerial nominees today but shifted debate on Obanikoro and two other nominees to next week.
