International passengers stranded due to power outage at MMIA

This afternoon about 4:00 pm local time, the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, experienced power outage as a result of break down of the generator which made the international passengers unable to pass through immigration.

Is this not a slap to Nigeria? What has the authority done concerning it this while?

Democrats meet to consider replacement for Hillary Clinton following health condition

Democrats meet to consider replacement for Hillary Clinton following health condition

Top Democratic party members are set to have a replacement for Hillary Clinton following her health condition as confirmed by her doctor that she's got pneumonia. Hillary Clinton's collapse on Sunday during the 9/11 anniversary.

A video emerged on Sunday of Clinton, showing the dramatic moment when her "knees buckled" and she nearly crumpled to the pavement while waiting for her official car to collect her. Now top sources in the Democratic party circle are thinking of lining up a replacement. Could this be the 'October surprise' American political analysts take about during elections?

Top Democrats are reportedly scared that Clinton might die before the election or after the election and do not want their party's chances to be put in jeopardy.
Emmy Award winning New York Journalist and MSNBC pundit David Shuster tweeted: "Clarification from dem operatives @HillaryClinton pneumonia: Expect emergency DNC meeting to CONSIDER replacement."

Another senior democrat also revealed to Express UK that while the committee may "plead" with Clinton for her to step down, the decision is ultimately down to her.

"We can make contingencies, argue, plead with Hillary Clinton, but DNC bylaws are clear – her nominee status is now totally up to her."
US journalist Rick Levanthal of Fox News said: “She unexpectedly left early because of what appeared to be a medical episode.
"I have a law enforcement source who was there, who was 15 feet away form Hillary Clinton. He said she was standing on a curb with her protective detail waiting for her motorcade.
"They were surprised to see her because she wasn't meant to be leaving yet.
"When it finally rolled up my source said she stumbled off the curb, appeared to faint, lost one of her shoes, which wound up under the van."
If Hillary Clinton is replaced, then Donald Trump will surely be the next President, because getting voter confidence, trust and belief is not something that is achieved in two months.

What! Earth Tremor Hits Kaduna

What! Earth Tremor Hits Kaduna

The Nation gathered that the strange vibration of the earth and deafening sounds were experienced in Kwoi town from Sunday morning
till about 2pm.

A Kaduna based International Radio Reporter, Suleiman Yakubu who just traveled to Kwoi on ‘Sallah’ break told The Nation that the incident has forced people out of their homes.

“Though people have not started fleeing the community, but as I talk to you, there is tension. Everyone is standing outside as the earth is vibrating under their feet. It started since morning and if it continues like this till evening, people will have no choice than to leave the town to safer places,” Yakubu said.

Another eyewitness, Hon Badugu Nehemiah said, “since morning, many people in our villages have been running up and down, because both buildings and the ground have been shaking. Many churches had to cut short their Sunday service programmes because of the earthquake threat. As I am speaking with you, the ground is still shaking”.

Meanwhile, the state Governor, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai has appealed for calm, saying he had already alerted appropriate authorities to investigate the incident.

The Governor according to a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan said, has made a formal report to the appropriate authorities to investigate the development, report precisely on the event and issue appropriate guidance.

A Bag of Rice May Sell for N40,000 by December – Agric Minister Reveals

A Bag of Rice May Sell for N40,000 by December – Agric Minister Reveals

The Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has revealed that a bag of rice may sell for N40,000 by December.

He also stated that Nigeria spends about $22bn a year on importation of food.
Lokpobiri made the revelation on Saturday at a town hall meeting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Lokpobiri said,

“For your information, we spend about $22bn a year importing food into Nigeria. We know how many more dollars … and that is why you see the price of rice going up.
“Price of rice was N12,000 some months ago, but it is now about N26,000 and if we don’t start producing, by December it could be N40,000.
“Rice matures in three months. So, this is a wake up call for Bayelsa people to take the four farms we have seriously. The federal government has four farms in the state in our records. The average land you see in Bayelsa can grow rice, so the colonial masters were not wrong in their assessment when they said Niger Delta could feed not only Nigeria but the entire West Africa sub-region.
“Unfortunately, agriculture till today, is not a priority of the Niger Delta as far as the state governments are concerned because of oil.”
Hey! God please intervene for us o!
