Over 20 Young Nigerian Ladies Used As Sex Slaves Rescued In South African Hotel

  • At least 26 Nigerian ladies allegedly used as sex slaves and for prostitution were at the weekend rescued by the South African police, ‘the Hawks’.

  • The ladies, according to an online publication, certified. com , aged between 14 and 37 were rescued following a tip-off made to the police that girls were trafficked and lodged for prostitution in the hotel.

The hotel located on Klerksdrop area in South Africa is said to be run by Nigerians based in that country.
Hawks Public Relations Officer, Tlangelani Rikhotso, said the girls were drawn from different parts of South Africa, Northern Cape, KZN, Free State, Johannesburg and Eastern Cape.
He said:

“Those found at the hotel are currently being interrogated on charges of trafficking, while the alleged prostitutes are being investigated separately to reveal how they were picked and how long they have been in the hotel.”
