Scandalous Ekiti Tape: Obanikoro's role
Controversy surrounding the saga with the leaked Ekiti
tape continues, with Musiliu Obanikoro purportedly disclosing fresh
details regarding his involvement.
The recording was allegedly secretly made during the meeting attended
by Obanikoro. During the encounter the army and the authorities were
said to be discussing the plot to rig 2014 elections for Ayodele Fayose
to emerge the winner.
The scandalous audio generated many reactions. In particular,
Senator Obanikoro, went to court over defamation of character.
According to Sahara Reporters, contrary to earlier denials, Obanikoro
has confessed to some colleague senators in Abuja that he did
participate in the meeting held June 2014.
The politician was said to have disclosed that he was present on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure that everything went smoothly
